Also in the settings menu for Palringo there is a check box for "battery saving" (or something like that)...make sure that it's checked.

yeah i too have noticed battery life issue if i have palringo up my battery will die by 4pm when taken off charge at 9 am but with out the program it runs for atleast till 10:30 or 11 pm at night

On Palringo's battery life - I've found it to be superb. If you think Palringo is bad, run Beejive for a few, you'll realize how good Palringo really is.
If you're running a push e-mail solution like SEVEN which keeps your data connection up all of the time anyway, Palringo really doesn't cause that much of an additional drain. It's just the continued polling for messages that causes the increased drain. |

I installed Palringo after having issues with Beejive not signing on. And Palringo decimated my battery life, much worse then Beejive. But I think I found the culprit. I noticed in Communications, the BEAM was suddenly on. I always have it off, but I guess after installation it turned on. So keep an eye out for that.
I personally prefer the Beejive setup (when it works). I don't like how Palringo erases conversations when you switch to another. |
