Yea, same thing happened to me.

This is an awesome app by the way, I have used it for over a year with TouchPal KB in my Titan's & then in my TouchPro & I absolutely love it.

Yeah i use the same combo, Touchpal with this and it works great. Its time consuming but also managed to skin SMS chat a little as well so you can customise the colour and buttons a little.

Re: SMS-Chat Updated: Version 1.2

New version is not listed on Vito's site (developer); http://vitotechnology.com/threaded-sms-messaging.html

I installed it, it does say version 1.2

This is a demo version only.

Looks the same as version 1.6... didn't really notice much of a difference...

Thanks for sharing....

Credits go to Gfrandrea over at XDA. He started this, i merely just changed a colour here and there and some icons such as the arrows, contact button, HTC logo for the menu and green envelopes and red delete chat etc. Its not too hard but time consuming to change everything.

Re: SMS-Chat Updated: Version 1.2

Have any of you been able to configure sms chat to be your default sms handler. Currently i am using AE Button to set the app to a hardware button. It's a wonderful app but i have two issues with it. 1) Not able to set it as the default sms handler and 2) It doesn't handle mms (picture mail). Hopefully there is a fix by the author in the future.

To make it the default sms prog, you must have a registry editor. I use Resco Registry.

Go here:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSINBOX

in the string "1" write
"\Program File\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"

If you have stored it on your storage card, then incude this before program file.
as for not showing MMS, its the prog unfortunately but like you say, hopefully a new release will fix this but i wouldnt hold my breath. Not much new has happened with this in ages.

Yeah it's not updated on their website, but if you check the "about" info, it says version 1.2. The splash screen is different (i.e just a wait cursor) and u can back up your text msgs to your storage card. There's also and extra light skin option.
