Why Googlemaps mobile?

Seriously, why do programs like manila TF3D2 and such insist on firing up googlemaps instead of livesearch or telenav for locating a friend and using it for gps navigation? Googlemaps is terrible with navigation as you have to manually shift the screen to keep your current position in view-WHILE DRIVING?! This is why I never use this stupid application, after all these updates google has done, the position indicator still moves right off the screen this is pathetic! Is there any way to make livesearch or sprint nav the default gps app?

GoogleMaps moves the map automatically on my phone so I'm always centered.

Dude, just check the 'My Location' in the menu and then it will follow you. Google Maps Mobile has its failings, but the dot not following you isn't one of them.

EDIT: Or in the new version, click the blue dot button.

Yeah google maps follows me at all times. Make sure you have it set up right

Personally, I could care less if it follows me. I'd rather have voice prompts so I don't have to look away from the road to figure out where I'm going.
