[APP] XBmod Manila Rhodium (TP2) port V1D - 4.8.09

XBOXmod/ port from Touch Pro 2 - not ready for primetime and now abandoned for the topaz port. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493531

New features in the TF3D port from Touch Pro 2:
-New greatly enhanced people tab, has a mini tf3d application inside for full history and contact options.
-Facebook link w/ contact and facebook integration with internet
-New Calendar interface that provides links to day to day calendar information.
-"PUSH Internet" that ques up favorite websites at selectable times during the day.
-Stocks Tab has been changed from a graph to a linear view.
-LANDSCAPE, this is the BIG plus. It is a true TF3D interface on the landscape view, very very nice.
-New notifications screen that only shows the current notifications in a full screen layout.
-Upgraded weather w/ 4 day forecast.
-Enhanced World Clock/alarms screen
-Customize tabs option in settings with the addition of G-Sensor

My review and recommendations will be for a Sprint Touch Pro with stock rom and I haven't been able to keep up with this time wise.

Updated Feedback and Issues:
it seems XBmod has abandoned this Rhodium port(with good reason) and is now working on a newly released Topaz rom manila. There simply were too many bugs in this version to make it a real daily use manila and supposedly the new topaz port will function a lot better because HTC has fixed a lot of errors and XBoxmod is better at what he does.

How to Install: Download the rar from the XDA link above(it is too large to post here). It is HIGHLY recommended that you run a 21xxx rom. -Hard reset to stock rom strongly recommended! but not required I did both and it seems best with a clean setup. There are issues with backups of contacts not working in the contact tab so understand not all is perfect and your just testing this out.
-Go to start/settings/system/power/advanced/ and uncheck all boxes. Go back later after full install and reset to what you want
-Install net cf 3.5 or have a rom with net cf 3.5 built into it.
-Turn off TF3D in settings and do a manual soft reset.
-Install "xbmod policy.cab" from the "Required" folder to the device, NOT the storage card, this goes for all the cabs.
-Install "XBmod VGA Rhodium Manila.cab" to the device. This cab takes a while to load, be patient, then hit "OK" to restart.
-Install HTC New Contact Card.cab then click "OK" to restart.
-Delete the My device/Application Data/HTC/databases/forecast_cache.db file BEFORE you use the weather tab. If you still have a problem with weather then use the file "2330fc3c_manila.zip" below to overwrite the manila file in the windows directory using Total Commander.
-Now go into settings and turn on TF3D.
-You may want to install some of the cabs from the "Optional" or "Manila Tweak".
-Go to the settings tab and click on "Customize Tabs" and you can turn on or off the tabs as you like and rearrange them.
-At this point your new TF3D port form Touch Pro 2 should work and before you load programs or customize go get familar with it, then you can begin to customize.
-You can now go back and correct your power settings to what you desire.
-It seems to work better as you use it more.

Caution: It turns out some manila files are completly different so preceed with caution!
Here are some great customizations that I use and worked with the HD port that you may want to use for the Touch Pro 2 port.

For many of these fixes it is recommended that you turn off TF3D then soft reset and finally install the fix and then soft reset and turn TF3D back on. A little more work.

Here is the reg edits to be able to remove the "locked" shortcuts from the new program launcher. Thanks to gamer007 for finding this over at XDA.
That can be fixed with a registry edit
Change "IsReadOnly"=dword:1 to "IsReadOnly"=dword:0
in the following"

Also you can also export the entire ProgramLauncher key to backup/restore your manila programs between hard-resets

For the time being off on SMS try this registry key it has worked for me on other ROMs. This is a known issue not to do with manila. ADD the following:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting]
"TrustTimeZoneField"=dword:00000000

Also, if you wish to edit your Weather Database. Code:
Copy '2330fc3c_manila' from your windows directory to your PC.Open it inside http://sqliteadmin.orbmu2k.de/Expand the cities table from the File Tree to the left.Click 'id'Choose the 'Edit Data' tab.Click 'cityName'You should see alot of cities, add yours =)Copy the manila file back to your windows directory replacing the old.

-the new V1D has the fixes in the rar file except for the CDMA fix which is important to us.

For many of these fixes it is recommended that you turn off TF3D then soft reset and finally install the fix and then soft reset and turn TF3D back on. A little more work.
