Yeah, for real, man. My budget app has a tab for expenses which has Amount (currency), description (text), Due date "25th" (numeric with text), and percentages "5.4%" (numeric with text)

I had to build two different sorting algorithms and a function to strip numbers out of the numeric/text fields, then select case based on the column to finally make it work fast on a mobile device. I recoded my sorting sub like 4 times before I got it to move quickly. Had to use a couple arrays and some good ol' bubble sorting

Hibby....what CAB Manager are you using? I know you just got a new PC, so it has to be Vista. I tried to download WinCE Cab Manager but it is not compatible with 64bit Vista, so I am looking for one!!

hibby, when you're setting up the cab file in VS, put install dir as %CE1%\%AppName%

That's program files dir.

Still, though, compact is terrible. There are a lot of things that you have to code manually that would otherwise be built in as a one-liner for the full framework.

I haven't really worked with that with the compact framework yet, but from what I've seen, it's got nearly full functionality.

Alright. NOW I KNOW why I abandoned PalmOS and replaced my Treo. I just didn't know for all these years that this part of my life was missing. I am complete now. Thank you Hibby!

1) The .wav files are saved to \windows. Over-write them with any sound you like (including your own equivalent, er, outbursts, if you prefer your own brand. Hiibby's file just plays the wav - doesn't care what it is. Alternate set of selections attached. Just copy them to \windows, overwriting the ones already there.

2) I recommend a mode (tab) where the whole screen is one big random button. Tap it anywhere and it randomly plays one of the sounds. This is great for covert in-pocket entertainment. Of course, after loads of practice I'm getting good at figuring out roughly where in the pocket the wet and normal buttons are without being able to see them. Yes those are my two favorites. What does that say about me???


Oh - and want a time-delay fart? Search for and download wmstopwatch. Use one of Hibby's .wavs as the countdown timer alarm.
