Can I convert PC .exe program to PocketPC compatible program?

Is there a way to convert a pc .exe program to work on the HTC Touch Pro phone? I bought the phone purposely to put in these two programs and finally got them into the phone in File Explore -- and I get a pop up -- not a valid pocketpc program. Can I do anything to convert them on the phone to be PocketPC compatible or is there another phone that will take my PC .exe programs? I already tried the Samsung Instinct -- well, that wouldn't take my programs -- then I switched to HTC Touch Pro.

Re: Can I convert PC .exe program to PocketPC compatible program?

1) you needed to post this in the htc touch pro forum not the rules forum.

2) if it is a ppc app you need to connect your pro to your pc through activsync then run the exe from your pc and it will install to your pro

3) If you have a pro, update your phone in your profile

4) you should at least say what apps you're trying to install.
5) If they are desktop apps, they will not work on WinMob.

Re: Can I convert PC .exe program to PocketPC compatible program?

12. As mentioned in #6, a regular Windows application will not work with Windows Mobile without re-doing the code, etc. Even though it says Windows, the backbone on Windows Mobile is different then it is for Windows XP (for example).
