Probably a lot of people, as a lot of poeple invest money in stocks, want to track their 401k performance, etc. I have a ticker on my work and home pc that monitors all the stocks I'm invested in, it's foolish to blindly invest, unless you are trying to throw your money away.

I do keep track of my personal stocks and the main Dow Jones. The built in stock tab is very nice!
