Re: What mobile browser are you using?

I use like 4 browsers depending on my needs:

1.) Opera Mini - For most "browsing" meaning reading web pages. Because it's so damn fast.

2.) Opera Mobile - For websites that require live javascript interaction.

3.) Internet Explorer - When I want to download something real quick and want fast launch times, or I want it as a launching point for FlashVideoBundle/TCPMP. Though WVD has taken most of those tasks.

4.) Skyfire - Flash/Silverlight content (hulu.com, etc..).

Re: What mobile browser are you using?

Opera mobile for general stuff ( mostly cracked.com)
iris for fark.com and i-phone friendly websites (torchmobile.com)
and ie for stubborn sites at work ( that are ie6 optimized)
and skyfire for multimedia browsing

Re: What mobile browser are you using?

I also say there is definitely a NEED for all four of the main browsers depending on what u r doing:
1. operamine with the latest java is hands down the best and most used for speed, quick zoom, scrolling and the way it renders like a desktop.

2. IE is used the second most especially on the mobile formatted websites (news, sports, and tech sites like ppcgeeks wap). I think for wap sites it may still be a pretty fast browsers.

3. the skyfire is pretty amazing all the videos galore!

4. opera mobile is another awesome browsers that's good for that desktop feel, u can go into secure sites more safely like bank and stock accounts and even my sprint accnt.

I think all 4 are great for their own strong points would use them all if I were you.

Ajay

Re: The Best Browsers

I don't want to fire up an old thread, but Iris was updated recently. You can play videos straight off the page, I have 3.1 flash lite installed and I'm sure it is using this. It is leaps and bounds ahead of Opera Mobile which is a memory hog! If you type in iphone.facebook.com it will take you to what is essentially the iphones facebook. It is much better than previous builds which were terrible, it is actually fast too!!! Much, MUCH faster than Opera Mobile! The text is a good size, and they fixed the problem it had when switching to landscape in previous builds! Check it out! BTW, it is VGA, and heres a link:

How does this differ from the iphone.facebook.com that you get on Opera?
