Sync Facebook Pictures to Contacts

So I spent a lot of time this morning trying to figure out how to do this. Naturally I started off with SkyBook, but it did not work at all, for me at least. But after a lot of different routes, I finally got it worked out.

The reason I went about it this way is because I do not use outlook. I know there are plenty of programs out there that are much easier if you go through that. I use google sync, for calendars and for contacts. With that said:

Firstly, you need to have .Net framework 3.5 installed.

Then, download the files here: http://www.koushikdutta.com/2008/10/...-facebook.html

open googlecontactsync.exe

The screen that comes up prompts you for your google account username (Do not add the @gmail etc.) and password, it's not very clear.

Follow the instructions (Allow it to access facebook) and let it run. It may seem like it's stopped responding but eventually it will have a box that pops up saying 'Done!'.

Finally, sync your google account with your phone and it should be set!

For me not every contact worked (Shows the '?' picture you see in facebook at times), but for the most part it did. This may be due to discrepancies between names, but I'm not sure that's entirely it. Also, after I let the program run, when I checked the contacts in gmail it didn't appear to have worked, but I sync'd anyways and was pleasantly surprised that it had. I hope this helps someone, or at least saves them some time!
