Re: Opera 15613

with juggalo flash 3.1 already installed, i installed this and flash was ready to go.
problem is, its slow a heck

im wondering if the official adobe flash cab is any better.

and its got a bad keyboard popup problem
other than that, it loads up pages real quick and starts up alot faster

Wow this version of Opera is very fast. Its almost like a different program!

I'm running the official adobe flash with this and flash is not working at all.

Anyone get flash to work? If so which one did you install?

Re: Opera 15613

The official flash lite 3.1 cab is meant as a stand alone player. It does not contain the browser plugins. The keyboard popup is a known issue, and I don't believe there is a fix other than something like nullkb.

Juggalo's flash works with this.

Re: Opera 15613

Installed on locked stock Sprint CDMA Touch Pro rom. Received message saying "Cannot install over existing Opera... do you want to install anyway?" responded "Yes." It installed fine. When I look in help it is on my TF3D tab as default browser! It is super fast and after adding the flash cab also (included in XDA link) I have flash so who needs the puffed up Skyfire now?

Is this the one that is listed as the new beta 2 on the Opera website?

http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/

I installed it just a bit ago... it's nice... widgets enabled, new interface... seems to launch faster.

I don't usually bother with the almost weekly new builds, but wow, this really is faster. Give up Microsoft. The competition has got you beat.

Wow is all I can say :)

I've never had an opera mobile build open in 1 - 2 seconds like this one does.

Very very nice. First time upgrading Opera. Very much worth it. Even though you got it from somewhere else, thank you op for posting this. I would not have know about it otherwise.

Attached is the tweaked version that I'm using. The exe's have been compressed, gsensor auto-rotate disabled, and real exit enabled. Uninstallable.

Indagroove ... how's the best way to install this, when I have 15316 built into a rom from Calcu's kitchen? I tried the cab file, but it was unsuccessful ... said it lacked the required permissions. Thanks ...

The "tweaked" cab above works great on my Stock Rom Sprint Touch Pro... However, I can't get the 'landscape view' option that I have seen on scome screen shots of this version...

Thanks,

Matt!

If you press and hold somewhere on the screen in a web page you'll get a menu popup that has landscape view in it.

Yah, sometimes I'm getting the same problem.. the right bottom menu key sometimes goes away on heavy flash sites, and there is sometimes a small white box in the top left of my screen... doesn't bother me too much though.

i had this problem with mightys a couple days ago with another opera version.
after trying to set every file's attribute in the windows os to not-readable only
that DID NOT seem to do the trick.

so instead i installed an old version of opera mobile(it was qvga when my phone was vga) that actually overwrote and installed, then i uninstalled it, then reinstalled the latest opera mobile. ??or did i just install the new one over the old one?? cant remember, lol.

but since then i flashed to mightys latest rom and i was able to install the new opera over the original with no problems.

Yea, that's what I figured right from the get-go. I don't see that option in the list.... odd.

Inda,

Are these the ONLY differences from the cab in the Original Post?

Thanks,

Matt.

P.S. What exactly is the purpose of "real exit?"

Yes, real exit saves memory on exit.

vey very nice upgrade for opera. i had just converted to iris and this had me crawling back in no time lol. but i cant get my flash to actually play in mightys rom. just loading and loading..... any imput guys? plus im getting the lil white box also, looks like the menu button bugged out when there is flash cuz the white box is actually the menu button when you tap it (thats why it dissappears when flash is active.

For anyone having difficulty installing Indagroove's version of 15613 ... I was able to get it done by using dotfred task manager, killing the Opera process, and then installing the cab file. Hope this helps ...

To all the people who have flash working perfectly and like the speed, which flash are you using? flashlite or adobe or something else? I'm using the stock rom so i don't have anything special installed in the rom.

Did you try what I said worked for me? Completely shut down/kill the Opera process with dot fred task manager, then install. I had previously gotten several unsuccessful install errors, but this worked first time ...
