Juggalo's flash works with this version. It's a bit slow and a little buggy but it's better than nothing.

Even though it says install unsuccessful it still installs. Check the version of the opera you know have and it should show version 15613.

Try installing indagroove's version, but first kill opera process with dot fred task manager ... it has worked for several of us.

It needs to be installed to the device, rather than storage ... glad to hear it helped.

Yeah, I get the white square on some sites ... but I love the increased speed, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

Love the new version! I'm also getting the white box at times. I can not however watch videos from hulu with this browser. I'm using Juicy's latest flashlite btw. Any suggestions to get flash working in the browser?

EDIT: I said Juicy's Flashlite but meant to sa Juggalo's. I am using the stock ROM and with JUGGALO's flashlite can not get Hulu to run video.

Try using Juggalo's flash lite 3.1..the cab is located here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=51483
But I would uninstall Juicy's flash lite (though I didn't know he had one) before installing Juggalo's. If you have Juicy's version cooked into your rom then cook a new rom using Juggalo's version or just cook it without Juicy's and install Juggalos. Did you get all that? lol

Re: Opera 15613

My favorite version so far. It has the bug where the font gets microscopic if you rotate between portrait and landscape in mobile view, but the g-sensor is much less sensitive than in the version that comes on the phone, so it does not rotate accidentally all the time. I've gotten an "out of memory" warning with it a few times, but overall, a big thumbs up.

Hulu won't work even with Juggalo's flash.

yea, this version has greatly improved in speed.
anyone got a version log for all these opera builds?

also, are there any skins to make the top and bottom bars smaller, thus making more screen real estate for websites??

Re: Opera 15613

This is really excellent work. Zoom is sick. Another big improvement over juggalo's version is that it directly loads your home page unlike older version where it would only load the blank page. Thanks a lot.

Hulu is not going to work as it needs flash 9 or above, and flash lite 3.1 only supports up to flash 8.

So why does Hulu work in Skyfire with flashlite 3.1 then?

skyfire has thier own servers which load the webpage then stream it to you. any flash you put on your phone has nothing to do with it

Because everything that comes from Skyfire is rendered on their end of things, all you are using is a remote desktop connection directly connected to their computers. On their end of things they can pretty much use whatever plug in they want. Opera on the other hand does not do any server side rendering, so any plug ins like Flash has to come from the phone itself.

His ROM (at least the standard ROM) has flash lite 3.1 built in.

how do i reenable the g-sensor? i installed the tweaked version that has it disabled... like the other tweaks, but would like g-sensor back.

Also, how do you switch to landscape? I read people saying to hold somewhere on the webpage, but i don't get any special option for landscape.......

thanks.

Re: Opera 15613

I think something isn't correct when i downloaded this.

At first when i tried to install this it said installation was "unsuccessful," but when i loaded up opera to see what had happened, it looked like it actually was installed.

But this is where the problem comes in..

The original Opera that came with the Diamond loaded up the mobile version of the web. After i downloaded this new build everytime i pulled up Opera it gives the the actual full website. this would be fine with me, but with it loading up the full entire webpage, it takes much longer for sites to load up.

Do you guys now what it is i need to do?

Re: Opera 15613

One thing that no one ever comments on and I don't know why, about the different builds of Opera 9.5.... Javascript and applet support!! I've been using Conflippers build 15529 of Opera and it has very good applet support. I'm not talking about streaming videos and could care less about that, I'm talking about support for sites like the desktop version of Hotmail, or sites like CNET which loads with an animated applet on the main page. 15529 was also the only build I've seen with the option in settings to switch between browsing as a mobile browser or a desktop browser, to force pages to load in their desktop versions.

Most browsers don't support these sites correctly but 15529 does and it works great. All other builds I"ve tried of Opera Mobile 9.5 do NOT so far, but older Opera Mobile 8 had this java support built in. I'm going to try this new build but I bet money it doesn't support the applets correctly..... I don't know why newer builds had this feature removed. Also, 15529 had the *****in transparent zoom slider on the right, which I like a lot better than the zoom bar on the bottom.

EDIT: Tried the build from this thread (the tweaked one from the second page) and yeah it loads fast, but the better Java support is gone. Also, it loads faster because it 'pre-loads', in other words, it starts up with Windows, I noticed on my first reboot after installing that I booted with like 7 MB less RAM... screw that noise!! Disable the pre loading and it goes back to 'normal' load time

Anyways, I'm not impressed... back to build 15529 for me!

I STRONGLY urge anyone reading this to try that build and see just how much closer it is to true desktop browsing!

Will this build install over the 15613 build or will it need uninstalling? Also, does it still have the flash support this does?
