BlackBerry Connect on HTC Phones

Anyone see this? You can use BlackBerry connect on some HTC phones meaning push email. Wonder how itll work, battery killer? Wonder if this will work on all the other HTC phones like the titan/6800 too.

i can't even get the software to download. the serial number sprint gave the phone isn't changed from the typical HTC format. keeps telling me it's incorrect.

Re: Real Blackberry Connect for HTC Phones

I tried downloading it, and it requires the following information:

Quote:
The serial number of your device can be found by removing the battery from the device. Once you remove the battery, you can see a white patch with text on it. The serial number is located here (S/N: HTxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or S/N: SZxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx).
I have an S/N number, but it does not begin with HT or SZ, and is rendered invalid when I enter it on the HTC site. I have Sprint and am pretty sure this will not work on CDMA. Can anyone who has a GSM version confirm if theirs has an S/N number as described? This may not even be working on domestic phones at all. The download is on HTC's Southeast Asia site.

Re: Real Blackberry Connect for HTC Phones

i just spoke with an HTC rep that informed me the software is ONLY for HTC generic versions of our phones. This software is not available (currently) for carrier specific versions.

Apparently, to HTC, what we have aren't really HTC phones. They're taking a real odd stance on this.
