FIM, a Facebook Chat Client for WM devices, has been updated to v2.3.5... It works great for me, with an instant pop up when a chat message is sent... You can go here to download the latest version...

I use it a lot and I love it.. It is being updated constantly!

Facebook IM is a freeware Windows Phone application that brings the facebook chat on to your Pocket PC.

It requires an active internet connection on your device. No 3rd party registration is needed, this app connected directly to the Facebook website.

Installation:

Copy the CAB file to your device, and execute.

I use the iPhone page in my opera browser right now, and it works ok.

I use that one all the time...I adjusted my Opera zoom default to where I don't have to double tab for the site to fit to my screen.

You guys should try skybook for windows mobile... works great for me without even having to go to the site. Its directly linked to Facebook so when you sign up it takes you to your page to give the app permission to access the page data.

Search google for skybook you'll be glad you did.

It doesn't seem to do well when you leave it running for long periods of time... it never updates who is online... maybe refresh them once in a while? If I sign off and sign back on it updates who is online or not. Otherwise for a quick facebook chat it's great.

Ok this is the Facebook Application made by Microsoft and stripped from the newest wm6.5 rom (Build 21169). I did NOT make this, or do really anything at all beside bring this information to you. Thank the people above and Microsoft for this app.

It is known that his is ONLY V0.14 so while this app does offer a good facebook experience it is safe to assume that this is definitely a "Pre-Release" version of the software with many known bugs. The final release candidate will most likely fix most if not all of the current issues. It will probable offer more features and a much better over all experience. So better things are yet to come :)

*Overview*
This Is a new Facebook aplication for windows mobile! As stated above it was ripped rom the newest windows 6.5 Rom, but this WILL run on windows 6.1, 6.0 and even Windows Mobile Standard from preliminary testing. Tho our WM5 uses have stated that they have been unable to get this App to load. Currently it is at V0.14 so im guessing this is still an early beta program mayb even alpha version. But with that said it still looks and works great! Though it does have some issues. Currently this app has the following features.

5 Differnt Tabs,
Home - Where you can view your News Feed, Status Updates, and Updated Photos
Profile - Where you can view yours and others Wall, Info, & Photos
Friend - Graphical/Text list of all your friends & what they are doing
Inbox - Here you can view your Inbox, Outbox, Notifications, and Requests
Phonebook - This is a really cool feature where you can call any of your friends that have htere phone numbers linked to there FB Profile.

This App also as some other cool features, such as the ability to "Poke" friends as well as leave comments(a must) view picture albums, upload pictures/videos as well as the ability to update your own status. This app shows real promise considering it is only currently V.14, i personally cant wait for the updated versions that will hopefully come in updated roms being released every few days - a week. :D

Current Know Issues
1. Can not be installed to Storage Card*Fixed by new cab*
2. If not WWE Rom, install may be not be perfect
3. Login Info will NOT be saved even if "save info" is checked
4. Will not show friends ID if they are not one of your friends
5. First launch takes a while to cache all info(Not really a problem just fyi
6. Other small random odd & ins

Great app. Works great on my new TP. And now I have bragging rights over my boss's Iphone. I can say that "yeah, I have a Facebook app too, oh yeah, AND an accelerometer, AND a hardware keyboard, AND... oh, that's right, COPY AND PASTE, because I'm running WINDOWS MOBILE!!! Booyah." LOL
