TF3D: Glass Envelope Edition-display more of your email in the email tab

3 Attachment(s)
The Glass Envelope Edition:
There are actually 2 versions: Thin Glass (pic on left) and Thick Glass (pic on right).
I have attached both cabs to the bottom of this post.

The Thin Glass cab is called HD_Transparant_Envelope.cab Thank you Blessed HD over at xda.

For the Thick Glass edition, install the Giangishanghaienvelope cab. (Although it was cab'd up by DavidK at FuzeMobility, it was named after its creator at xda.)

FuzeMobility also did a write up about it here.

](*,)Disable TF3D before the install. Install the cab. Soft reset. Enable tf3d.

(credit for the pic goes to David K over at FuzeMobility)

Original TF3D Email Tab Remove Email Tab:

It removes the part of the envelope from the tf3d email tab. Your email actually appear over the envelope giving you more of the message.

http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/8481/stock.png http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/8960/moredisplay.png

To install:
1. Disable tf3d
2. Install the FuzeMobilityNoEnvelope.cab
3. Soft reset
4. Enable tf3d

Thanks for the .cab go to Bugsykoosh over at xda and his post at fuzemobility.com with the specific article here.

Although it is recommended, I did not disable TF3D before installing.
I just installed the cab. Then soft reset.

Glad you guys like it. I made the cab and as you can tell by the name it was part of a posting I did on fuzemobility.com: http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=1828
Hope it helps and we've got plenty of other good tips and tricks...

Is there a way, where you can read e-mails like we read SMS? Changing with a flick of the finger.....

haven't tried the cab, but you can do this with the stock email version in TF3D... slide from the top of the email to the bottom of the envelop

This works with the TF3D hd as well, or at least the version found in KK's loaded rom (link in my sig).

You can also swipe from the bottom of the email to the top to go back to the previous message. This cab only increases the message display, it doesn't (or at least shouldn't) affect the gestures associated within the tab itself.

Re: TF3D: display more of your email in the email tab

hey guys...quick question, I have a friend who has an HTC Fuze...and he is looking to do the exact opposite with his TF3D, he would like it to NOT show a preview of the emails in his inbox...anyone know if this is possible? is there a setting or reg hack I can direct him to?

bugsy90 02-09-2009 03:58 PM

Re: TF3D: display more of your email in the email tab

why not just not have an email tab then? If you don't want a preview get rid of the tab...

Re: [Update 2/25] TF3D:Glass Envelope Edition-display more of your email in the email

I also cabbed the no envelope previously but that's in post 1 already (I am DavidK from fuzemobility.com so I'm not stealing anything:) )
[sorry- didn't mean to insinuate anyone here was stealing from me - I just meant I was jsut reposting my oen cabs - hope no one thought i was maknig any accusation - may cabs can always be shared:) ]

Can you .cab the thick glass envelope PLEASE, thanks.

Re: [Update 2/25] TF3D:Glass Envelope Edition-display more of your email in the email

The cab for the thick glass envelope was made by David K (who is apparently bugsy90 here), and was posted here. The post contains two zips, but the cabs are inside. Yes, you must sign up at that site to be able to download, but I do recommend it. Good forum as well as a good read at FuzeMobility.

Thank you bugsy, btw. If you want to post the thick glass cab here, I'd be happy to post add it to the first post. Otherwise, I'll just leave the links pointing to your site, which I'd leave either way.

you can post them here as well - no problems and thanks. Just wanted to give one more option (the two glass options plus moving the envelope behind).

Does this work correctly on MightyMike's Rom without any side effects?

Works fine for me. However, my Gmail account through Seven only shows "Click to view message". How informative.

I don't see why it would cause any problems.

I use KK's loaded ROM with tf3d hd and it works perfectly. Install the cab then soft reset. I didn't even disable tf3d before I installed it, but it is recommended that you do so.

Has anyone installed the glass cab on a TP running the HD Manila VGA port? I would love to have this but am concerned that it may cause problems since I am running a different version of manila...

Yes, I use the HD tf3d port (comes built into KKs rom). It works perfectly.

WTH is wrong with me? I should have known to ask you...

Yeah, I agree. It is so much easier to use the email tab now that I can see more of the email message.

Yeah, I didn't even use that tf3d tab until I found these. The original was great, but the glass edition is just impressive eye candy.

Love the glass envelope.

I think it looks better than having the emails over the envelope.

Hey, what's the name of that skin you have in the first image?

Nevermind. Guess that is just the regular Fuze skin

Re: [Update 2/25] TF3D:Glass Envelope Edition-display more of your email in the email

I installed the FuzeMobilityNoEnvelope.cab on my Verizon xv6850,
and the email body (i.e. text) is blank, it only shows the header
information.

After uninstalling the above, I installed the Glass Envelope Edition,
with the same outcome.

Will this cab work on the Verizon Touch Pro, and if not, is there a
cab out there that will?

Much thanks in advance.

Did you:
Disable TF3D before the install. Install the cab. Soft reset. Enable tf3d.
?

I'd soft reset your device before you try that if you haven't already then follow those steps.

Great add-on. Maybe David can modify thi and make the transparent envelope behind the email...
Excellent add-on, though.

I follwed all of the set up instructions (i.e. disabled, installed and reset, enabled), but to no avail.
Have any other Verizon Touch Pro users had the same problem?

Much Thanks.
