Yeah... but then i get the annoying 'message sent' bubble everytime i send one. Also... those only show up for a few moments... I want to just be able to come to my device, be on my home screen, and see the latest previews of the last few messages.... perhaps i shouldnt be so picky... i guess im just lazy at using my device, and the less finger swipes and presses, the better. It just seemed like something that could be done, so was curious.

You are not alone. Thats why I have to keep tf3d around in the background. I dont know what it is, but there seems to be just a few limited programs that can do that. I like the ones that keep me away from windows sms screen totally, like Rhodium.

Update!!! beta version 3.0.1 is out!!!

Some cool tweaks, and some fixes I know I have seen people talk about in here:

We are happy to announce that Spb Mobile Shell 3.0.1 Beta 1 (build 6456) is available for open beta testing.

You can download the beta version at
http://prev.spbsoftwarehouse.com/ext...ell3_setup.exe
http://prev.spbsoftwarehouse.com/ext...Shell3.arm.cab

Change log:
- Feature: ability to save calls from unknown numbers to a new or existing contact
- Feature: ability to show/hide SIM contacts
- Feature: "Show Today" widget
- Feature: support for the hardware "Call" button from certain dialogs
- Feature: "Remove All" in call log
- Bug fix: contact sync can fail after using a picture from Facebook
- Bug fix: some calls cannot be resolved to their corresponding contacts
- Bug fix: calls from unidentified numbers are not shown in the call log
- Bug fix: "Edit Profile" doesn't work correctly on Treo
- Bug fix: devices cannot be turned off on HTC Kaiser cooked ROMs
- Change: "Hardware Acceleration" option is hidden for non-supported devices
- City database has been updated
- Other minor bug fixes and optimizations

This minor release is design to fix known bugs and add some small features to resolve most critical scenarios. This release is not designed to add additional "standalone" features.

To keep this beta program efficient, please post your feedback in separate threads with [3.0.1 Beta1] prefix in the subject line. Please do not post new feature requests under this prefix (use [FR] instead).

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

I was using this Shell but noticed that my favorit MP3 player- Pocket Player's AVRCP commands when using a bluetooth stereo headset no longer works. It launches the old WM player instead.

Does anyone have a solution to this? It's the biggest thing preventying me from making the switch since Conduit's successful work around of the TF3D's AVRCP annoying habit of trapping BT commands.

Otherwise, this mobile shell is great.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

Landscape / Portrait switching is ALOT faster. It's certainly not instant but it's definitely tolerable now.

I have the latest version of the plugin and I have intecept wmp commands and all the workarounds for mobile shell & HTC checked but WMP unchecked and it works perfect for me. With workarounds unchecked it was not working and it would default to WMP

thanks for the reply- can you clarify since I don't have Shell installed anymore.
Were the intercept commands in a Mobile shell menu?

I'll check it when I get home...

Hopefully I can get it to work too.
