now that I'm running SPB3 I wonder what I can remove to free up space. Do I need icontact or can I uninstall it? I already removed psshutxp since SPB has a soft reset built into it.

6-20-09: Removed icontact & reset with no problems. Now to experiment with other programs.

Hey man,

Thanks a ton for that link! Lots of goodies out there; however, couldn't find anything to remove the calendar to allow for more appointments :(

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!! (3.0.1 RC 5/21)

After seeing a T-Mobile SPB first Windows phone video, I remembered how many posts I
came across while searching regarding their love for the SPB mobile shell. So I searched
and got to this forum, read a few pages clicked over to the updates page
and figured I'm missing out on something I want. So I didn't hesitate but went to the
SPB home site and bought the app for my Sprint Mogul/Titan.

Needless to say I'm pleased with this thing as many are, however, I had to use the 3.0.1 cab
from here because the exe donwloaded from the site would not execute
from microSD card on the phone. Got the ole 'not a pocket pc app' crap. Don't know
if it's something I have to install form my pc or what, but I originally downloaded
the exe to my iMac at work, tried to zip it to send to my phone, and the cmd error
said couldn't do so because some header is missing - stuff.

So it was possibly corrupted?

Then I used the cab here, hoping it was the true latest official build.

I've read the first 17 pages of this post so far, and I've only had 4 minor glitches
that I haven't read about from anyone else's post, yet.

1) Sometimes when I click on the little task bar icon on the top right corner it
either hesitates or sometimes doesn't show anything; although I can click on such
and sometimes that opens the memory stats' page. Not a real biggy.

2) I did the registry hack to use PocketCM for SMS and that worked. But clicking
on a contact from SPB results in an error message that states 'invalid command line
parameter argument...'. The app still opens after clicking 'ok' button. No biggy either.

3) Weather doesn't display current weather; actually I did come across some info on that,
just not sure which way to go as this is my first install of the shell.

I'll look at the updates, themes, widgets pages and see what I can find.

4) Tried to send a pic mail and it error'd saying there wasn't enough memory
although there were 12 -14 MB free on the RAM, hmm. SO I soft reset and
that solved it; Oxios Hibernate did not.

I would like to ask this question here, if it's a repeat I apologize but I
didn't see anything first 17 pages of posts that was definite;

Is anybody enamored with a ROM update that works exquisitely
well with SPB Mobile 3.0.1 on the Sprint Mogul Titan?

I'm asking because as I've searched for ROM testimonials an I've came across
many saying they might have to give up the SPB mobile shell for the ROM.

I like this shell and want to customize it galore.

I heard copper mentioned, but good and bad so not sure to use such. I
have the stock 6.1 update on my Mogul - Titan.

It works pretty good and I have just about enough apps, all found here :-D,
to make this little phone look appealing enough to wait, at least a day after
the Touch Pro2 is released for Sprint to add it to my arsenal. Really, if the TItan -
Mogul had more RAM, I'd wait till the end of the year...But alas the latter is folly
and just a dream...as far as i know ~ :-|

Ok, just got an email form Handago for a link to the cab install. The latter
may fix some of the above, however, I really am interested in a 6.1 or 6.5
ROM if some feel that it's really better than the stock ROM, which for me
would be faster loads of some apps, Active Sync running when it's suppose too,
etc...stuff like that.

UPDATE: Using build 6501 cab for 3.0.1 Soft reset a couple of times seems
to work the same and have the same small issues mentioned previously.

Thanks for everyone's hard work here.

Yup, that didn't solve it. SPB leaves a lot on the table in terms of common sense.

All I can say guys, is that I absolutely love MS3...I don't even use the TF3D and I am gonna try to remove it from my phone....Im overall pleased with the performance and speed, and am very grateful to the guys here for providing all the support and tweaks for it. I use Weather Panel with this as well, and I couldn't be happier with that either, its a very stable and reliable weather program in my opinion...oh, and I use the Phat Phinger skin for WP....PPC GEEKS RULZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a way to change the links so that when you use the spb menu for file exploring tools it uses Resco Explorer instead of the windows file explorer?
