Re: Spb, Resco, or Sprite Backup
I think what can be learned by all these posts on BU programs is that you need to figure out what works best for your particular system. Posts that state things like "SPB is the best hands down" are not only useless really, they are flat out untrue for a lot of people.
All these programs have free trials & you can basically try them all out that way. The problem is, until you actually do a full restore from one of them you won't really know if they are 100% compatible with your particular system. Although Resco works for some people, it gave 92 errors the first time I ran it on my absolutely perfect system which was backed up with SPB & Sprite with no errors at all. Although SPB always did perfect restores for me in the past, it failed numerous times attempting to restore to a different TP with a different ROM where Sprite worked perfectly for this. ~John |

Re: Spb, Resco, or Sprite Backup
This is exactly the kind of useless statement I was referring to in my previous post. Making a flat out statement like this while providing no details whatever doesn't really help anybody.
I used SPB exclusively when I was using my old Titan's (I had four of them) & it worked quite well & I did a bunch of system restores. I have had a lot less luck using SPB in my two TouchPro's however. Trying to do a total system restore from one device to the other has not worked well at all with SPB (TF3D completely refused to load after a restore) but the same system worked perfectly when restored with a Sprite BU made at the same time as the SPB BU. ~John |

Re: Spb, Resco, or Sprite Backup
I have never encountered a proble using spb, but I have with Sprite. I could have been doing something wrong, but it is spb for me.
*Very easy to use *Nice touch interface *Fast and Reliable *Schedule backup feature is nice as well |
