Re: Firefox Mobile..

I loaded it on my HTC Diamond and here is what I found.

No Keyboard= No Problem, I just used my Redfly. I did have to coax it a little by activating G-SEN to rotate for better screen fit.

I also found out that this version did not initiate a data connection. I had to start one manually.

Worked ok but I didn't charge my Redfly last night so only got to play with it for about 4 minutes.

Fennec Leaked

Has anyone tried it yet? I used it for about 20 minutes and uninstalled it. It looks nice but it crashed everytime i tried to go to this website . Apparently its not the beta that is suppose to come out next week.

This tells a little about the leaked version http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=1737

And this is to download it. FYI its 23MB!!!! http://people.mozilla.org/~blassey/f....wince-arm.cab

I don't understand posts like this. You all who keep bashing it realize this is nowhere near the end product, right?

You do realize that this isn't even an Alpha release yet, it's simply meant to help the programmers debug it.

Re: Firefox Mobile..

Wow so many people bashing this and oh guess what it's a pre alpha version do you understand what this means it is NOT even close to being a final release or at least a RC. I will be getting the beta when it's release to try out and it does look very promising to have another browser to choose from to use on our ppc. I'm just amazed on the amount that are allready bashing this I'm surprised at this do you expect the dev team to just think up an idea and automagicly for it to come into being from nothing and it too work with no issues at all.

Re: Firefox Mobile..

This page details the release dates

http://people.mozilla.com/~csejersen/fennec/req.html

I notice for beta it says:
B1 February 27, 2007 - Beta 1

I wonder if it was meant to read:
B1 February 27, 2009 - Beta 1

Perhaps it won't be this week?
Any thoughts?
