UPDATE, I feel stupid. I should have looked at eBay befor I made the above comment. I found one for 10.95 and ordered it. We'll see if it solved my problem. Thanks for your help.

Looks like the 23081 files need to be patched for timebomb on the ppck side of things

FYI

I am still having problems with active sync and exchange. I had to copy the syncmgr.dll from 53 to 81 so I could install the certificate.

Also, it looks like the problem with the REPLY ALL and SEND buttons may be related to Windows Live. If I dont install the Windows Live cab the buttons are correct but when I install the Live cab I start having the problems with the buttons. I have not tried the Live programs from the PPCK files. Thats going to be my next build test later today.

Yup we are looking at a few things now. The files will be updated with that fixed as well.

The shell32.exe is already patched, its a registry setting I will need to remove. I will fix the synmgr.dll and that registry setting and reupload some common files.

FYI, the registry setting can be deleted if you do not feel like cooking. Just delete the following key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Device Beta]

Just add [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Device Beta] to your reg entries in your kitchen, it will fix it for you.
Then add patched 23081 shell32.exe to your sys.

Ok, files are updated. Again, just to reiterate, the shell32.exe was already patched. So you can just manually delete the registry keys. You can also install the exchange active sync fix cab I posted a few pages back to fix syncmgr.dll if you do not want to recook.

i got the "beta" reg fix done already & dont need to download all files again

please share the synmgr.dll that makes active sync work ...thanks
