VGA gets all the love for obvious reasons... and the only people left who make QVGA taskbar icons don't always stay up to date with the latest roms. So far I have noticed shellres.96.dll, outres.96.dll, and notify.dll.0409.mui have changed several times since 2305*. It is defiantly a time consuming process, especially if you want QVGA from VGA. And a lot of the time the icons just don't look after you re-size them.

Program to help Extract Icons and Bitmaps! This is a program that I made that works with Resource hacker to extract the icons and bitmaps.
Makes it easily to work with... Check it out! Instructions are attached.

Sure, here ya go. BTW, a few of the files in here are modules. So, use this as a base on the qvga side of things. Recmod the module to edit. When you are done editing, reversemode the dll back into a module.

Thanks!

I am getting the same, boots and almost gets to the alignment screen, then white and nothing else happens - anyone have an idea why?

PPCKitchen files for 23071 for the PPCK devs out there. I hexed the XIPs to read 23071 since the source was 23070. All of the usual notes apply. Woulda had these up 8hrs ago, but the ppcgeeks forum wasn't playing real nice. :(

The XIP rar contains XIPs for the Apache, Herman, Kaiser, Titan, Victor and Vogue, all are spinlock patched except for the Apache. BTW, if you ARE an Apache user, let us know what kind of luck you had. This XIP is now LZX enabled (thx Drellisdee) if you choose to do that, maybe it will help, but doubt it.:drunken:

UPDATE 10/16, 12:05pm, EST: The Apache issue are almost resolved, finally. There are currently 2 common files posted here. The first one should work fine for everyone EXCEPT Apache users, and it is suggested to use the first one if you can. The first one will leave you with more space free in slot 0. Apache users, use the second one for now. I hope that I can get the issue narrowed down to one or two modules so there won't be a need to post both, but this is how it is for now. So, Apache users, Enjoy! And don't forget to thank dennygun for helping me test these today!:headbang:

Anyone know what Imay have done wrong or how i can slip the 6.5 wait cursor into this dll keepin it the same size as original? Hoping the answer isn't manual editing down each image haha. Exported bitmaps from original 6.5 dll, supposedly, with resHacka n they came out 80x80. perhaps a no good "original"? funny you guys brought up QVGA icons because that's been my most recent endeavor. I'm rockin' com2 tho so haven't attempted messing with the new fangled MAGNIFICATION dealy of taskbar.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

not a big deal but.. i remember i had this in build 23069 i think, it is a feature that when you enter a password in a password field it shows up like this **L .. basically showing the last letter/number you entered and then converting it to a * after you enter the next ex: ***c .. after i installed 23071 it was not there.. so i installed 23069 back and it still wasnt.. even with 23064.. any ideas?? is there something in PPCK thats it requires?

using Titan from Verizon w/SIP: fingerkeyboard 2.1

-thanks, Push ](*,)
