Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Anyone having an issue with HTC taskmanager with 21820 ? I have version 2.1 (build 37385) installed and it does not work, the app in the CP works but, when I hit the "X" on a open program it does not close the app (if you bring up the task manager, it's still running) and the menu on the home page does not run.

Any clue ? Or is there a newer one (someone got a cab ?)

sorry for the delay in the response back, but i took the rest of Saturday off and spent it with my wife. I downloaded Da_G's kitchen and then i believe i used the QVGA SYS that you posted.

Wife is always first :) Anyhow, have you tried just cooking a straight up ROM with no OEM's?

LOL no actually it never even crossed my mind that one of the packages would be causing the problem since all of the packages are working correctly.

Well, it's always the easiest starting point. If the problem persist, you at least know that your OEM's are NOT the problem. Also, have you tried using an OLDER tsk file from any build before 21815? (just to see if it lets you at least apply a theme). The QVGA files I posted for PPCKitchen are known to work just fine.

You are right

Da_G posted the CORRECT and ORIGINAL 21815 WVGA, VGA and QVGA folders several posts ago in this very thread

Just by using those folders the "gray problem" completely dissappears

I replaced my old (inherited from previous builds) WVGA SYS folders for the resh_xxx_resv_xxx folders DaG shared, and all works a treat

Sometime, soon or late, we will all have to upgrade to 21815 RES folders because ALL NEW BUILDS from 21812 on will use this background and themes method

But thats an "older" version if you look at the version number. the new version just dont works as expected...

Are there any other task managers similar in functionality with added process control? i hate it to install a separate application to kill processes (and i found no process killer which works good, all i tried causes sometimes screen freezes). With WM6.1 these worked fine...

When I had the Titan, I used 2.0.37385 since it always worked fine. Newer version always seemed problematic at best. Here's my OEM.

I loved WKTask Manger but I don't use it on 6.5. It totally ruins the top bar since it is not aware of the new 6.5 look (translucency on the bar)

Same one that I use. It works perfectly on my ROM.
