can someone tells, how can I translate ROM in the PPCkitchen to another language using the Language Localization Packages here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544445 ?
Sorry for my bad English

All you would need to do is extract the 0409 rar file to a folder and replace ANY folder with 0409 with the equivalent of what ever language you are cooking for. I.E. If cooking for Czech then "Base_Lang_0409_DPI_96_RESH_240_RESV_320" would need to be replaced with "Base_Lang_0405_DPI_96_RESH_240_RESV_320".

Once that is completed, you will need to edit the option.xml and fix all of the DSM's for the packages listed. Most will not need changed, but some will. You may also need to edit the option.xml in the Common rar as well, as some of the items in there refer to the 0409 package. Change to the GUID of the DSM in the 0405 (or whatever lang you are cooking for). Keep the 0409 as a comparison.

Once you can run PPCKitchen without errors (i.e. missing GUID errors) then you should be clear.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Thank you, joojoobee666. I'll try to do so. Until then tried to do the same, but just rename dsm and rgu, not to edit option.xml (or so wrong?). Think about the automation of this process on the future))
again sorry for the bad English, I use translate.google.com

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

No Joy here.

I tried the new XIP and the renamed 23412 XIP to try to make a build and I get the same response, the screen turns gray after the bootsplash screen????

I guess my Apache doesn't like anything past 23412???

I will wait for the next iteration to see if that works.

Thank you everyone for your help!

Try going to the properties on the root folder of your kitchen, then security. Make sure you account has full rights. Then, hit advanced, hit Change permissions and check the box that says "Include inheritable permissions....", then hit ok till you are done.

tried that n now the cmd prompt is just crashing haha i don't know what the heck is up with my kitch, but it is nooooo good for sure. PPCK all the way i guess. until i can get a lock on this shtuff at least.

Command prompt? What version are you using? 1.8.2 is the newest. Also, u can typically eliminate any permissions issue from the equation by copying (don't move!) it to your desktop which you should then automatiicaly inherit the permissions of the desktop (which you should have FULL to, since it is yours ;))

I posted a known booting 23053 XIP for CDMA Touch Pro with 6.5-aware nk.exe. Post incudes an attachment with the complete ROM folder from VK. Might help - might not.

users on xda report that 21435 is the old UI and not finger friendly - it was released sept 7
but there is another link for 23609:

released sept 22 but i have no info on how it looks or if it is good
downloading it requires registration on a chinese website..so i did not try it yet
thanks for 21435 files ...but i will skip 21435 and wait for reports on 23609

ill skip 21435 and 23609..reports from users say than they are not any better and maybe even older than 23053

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I found that using the original PPCK with joojoobee's files,
Build 23414 will now allow the use of the Taskbar Icons block for 6.5.
The top dropdown will only function in the home screen, and have the invisible icons,
But as long as you know where they are, it's not a problem.

21857 is fast, and uses the old UI that does not need the Showcase taskbar fix to resize the program window.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=7994

This utillity is great for the newer builds.
This is for others and QVGA.

PPCKitchen files for 21858 for the PPCK devs out there. The DPI are the EXACT same rar's from my 21857 post, so if you already have those, reuse 'em. No need to download these. All the other standard notes apply.

The XIP rar contains XIPs for the Apache, Herman, Kaiser, Titan, Victor and Vogue. All are spinlock patched except for the Apache.

SYS_21858_Common

SYS_21857_192DPI_0409

SYS_21857_96DPI_0409
http://www.4shared.com/file/13399215...6DPI_0409.html

Warning! If these files are used in any other kitchen other than PPCKitchen, please be sure that you fix the file attributes BEFORE or DURING cooking, otherwise problems will ensue (see FIX here). I have attached the removed packages as well if you do use these in another kitchen.

Thanks to Conflipper for the goods! :headbang:

You wouldn't be trying to cook in a NueKernel patched nk.exe, would you per chance? I see the nueKernel CPL OEM in there, so you have me wondering. Where did u get your ROM folders?

Also, if platform builder is crashing like that, you can narrow it down by removing EVERYTHING from the OEM\Titan folder except for OEMDrivers and OEM_Lang_0409. Also remove ALL EXT packages. Then recook and see what happens, but this is ALL assuming you are not trying to cook in no2chem's hacked up nk.exe. ;)

The XIP is in form of ROM folder, take out MSXIPKERNEL package from ROM\Shared to use it in your kitchen.

Is there any solution (maybe registry tweak) to change sensitivity of screen? In old builds it was working like that - I want to open for eg. SMS, then I click -> go. In new ones I've to click and wait still pressing screen for some time -> go.. It is very annoing..
(My english is very bad, but I hope, that you guys know what I'm talking about ;) )

I find that sometimes when the screen is getting a little stiff, I run the screen alignment.
The lighter I tap during the alignment, the more sensitive it seems to be after.
Maybe it's just my imagination, but try it.

So the problem is mainly with the cooked in apps?
Then try to cook with only the apps that do not have a cab file, or can be installed from PC.
