Re: YouTube Streaming Mobile: A "How To" WM5/M6/SP

OK, I installed this on a Treo 800W (square screen, 320x320). It actually works when selecting a youtube in IE it opens the media app. The audio is good but the video is out of sync. The player takes up about 3/4 of the width (comparing the pictures from the initial post in this thread). Is there a way to adjust the video refresh or the screen resolution for this app?

I did some searching in the software section and didn't see where anyone else confirmed this either worked or didn't work on the Treo so I thought I would give it a try. Currently I have Skyfire installed and that can play YT videos just fine. I'm looking for a way to watch YT natively in IE without having to install Opera and Skyfire along with IE (just too may applications).

Any thoughts are appreciated. BTW, is this screen considered VGA or QVGA? I have seen it referred to both ways.

Works Great on my PPC 6800- WMobile 6.1.

Installed cab #3 to main memory.
Soft reset
Open program
Type in address....BAM...it works.

BTW, not using it for YouTube (could care less actually...lol) I use it to connect to my home IP security cameras around the house. Pretty cool, because the cams allow HTTP for PC's or RTSP for cell phones. So, it was nice to find this player available as the Mogul does not support this format out of the box.

Only thing....the player does not have a way to save the address to a fav directly. You can type in the RTSP addy into IE and it will open the RTSP player too. But you have to add the addy to the IE favs' manually. So you have to run both programs. Small work around to save the addresses, but hey....totally sweet way to use this stream option on the Mogul....or any device.

Thanks for the Info!!!!!
