Any Interest in an Android Clone?

I'm just trying to judge interest in an Android clone for PPC. This would be a UI program run on Windows Mobile 5 and higher that would look and feel like Android. I'm in the beginning stages of coding right now and didn't know whether to continue seriously or just keep it as a pet project.

Re: Any Interest in an Android Clone?

I like the idea due to the fact that you could easily switch back to WM interface if you wanted as opposed to having to reset your phone to get back to WM as is the case with the port.

Re: Any Interest in an Android Clone?

Musicman247;
I would love to play with it. I have found all of your previous projects very useful, and I always seem to learn something new when you put one of these great programs out. So I'm in for some testing if need be. Hope to see more interst from others here in are community to make this possible, and help in any testing needs.

Thanks T M Z

Thanks for all the support! I'll continue working on it until the no votes overshadow the yes votes.

I've installed Android on my Touch, though, so I can see first-hand how things within the OS work. What I'm working on will emulate the Android Home. Pretty much three screens that you can create shortcuts on to any program, contact, or web page. I'm also thinking about putting in support for XML plugins, but that's gonna be further down the line.

I'd have to say no... There are some nice feature on android I might like to see natively on WM, but if I go with the full Android look, it would be for apps that don't exist in WM, and supportability... I love the PPCKitchen, but theres only so much you can do without source code...
