I assume by WAD, you aren't talking about doom level files, but Wisbar Advanced Desktop? Is it free?

Re: Software that makes PocketPC look like Windows XP?

Well, I'm trying out the Wisbar desktop, and although it looks very nice, it seems to have hung my phone's today screen. It looks like I'm going to end up having to remove it. (which sucks, because it looks very nice) I'm trying out v 2.1.1. Is there a newer version that does not hang on the HTC Titan?

ok..go to http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/ as posted above. there are versions of WAD designed for different sized screens.

Also, for anyone asking, no, the software is NOT free. WAD2 is 15 bucks and WA3 is 10 bucks. both are well worth the money

Re: Software that makes PocketPC look like Windows XP?

I would personally buy it, if it wasn't so unstable on my phone. It rendered my today screen completely unusable after I restarted my device a few times. Although, I do have to admit it looked great when it was running. (Even the default theme is like HTC Home on stereroids.) The Wisbar Advance plugin was nice looking, but that didn't really offer me anything that QuickMenu 2.7, (which is free), doesn't offer besides a taskbar that resembles a Windows desktop. With QuickMenu 2.7, the cascading start menu, (such as found on Windows desktop systems), is an almost perfect replica.

I think it's also possible that the original screenshot is just of a phone running remote desktop. Here is an example screeenshot of mine.

I was using Quickmenu on my Titan/Mogul, Loved it for a while... Til I realized it was what was causing alot of MASSIVE lag... Great app, just too memory hungry for my Titan...
