Veveo vTap Update - Page 2

i want to watch the vids. from the thumbs, not goto the website, defeats the pupose of the app. to me.

got it working by playing with the settings. since we cant(on the touch pro with tf3d) use the today plugin i disabled that and it left a cool taskbar reminder to reset, its a icon, it would be killer to launch the app. from that icon for pro and diamond users who use tf3d. just a thought for the veho guy. make that happen. lol dropped my hd files in the folder also for way better video picture. looks nice.

Just happen to come across the forum and download'd and installed and app's running pretty good on my Treo .. But whats the Diff between this and the Youtube Cab/App ?

I'm updating this weekend.
BTW, I have to uninstall current versions and soft reset everytime I update anything. It's one of those apache unavoidables.

Hey, your welcome, thanks for the heads up about the vtap update. I think you'll like it once you get around to downloading. Nicer UI in my opinion.

Heh... okay, that definitely did NOT help. Here's exactly what I did when I got home today. First, I went to m.vtap.com usine PIE, and downloaded the latest cab. Then I did a soft reset to start fresh. Then I uninstalled the old version of vtap. Then another soft reset. Then I installed the new version of vtap. Then another soft reset. Copy over the two .dll's necessary for using Direct Play from my TCPMP director. Open up vtap. Set my options. For video, I enable directplay, and use Raw Framebuffer. I enable the better audio. I choose a video to play, and it plays fine. Then I finish that video and start another one, no sound. I try a couple more videos including the video I had played first which I know had sound, but there is no sound. Exit the program, and now none of the phone sound is working. Do a soft reset, still no sound from the phone at all from any of my applications. Uninstall vtap, no effect. Luckily I had made full backup.... after several soft resets I did a hard reset as nothing was working. Then things got REALLY wierd.... after a full hard reset, STILL NO SOUND!!!! WTF!?!?! Turn the phone off, pull the battery, leave the phone off for several minutes, then power on and hard reset. *PHEW*, got my sound back... man I was about to flip... I JUST got this phone as a replacement after a lot of problems, and I don't think Verizon would be happy to replace it again! Needless to say, I am going to stick with the old version of vTap!! I don't pretend to have ANY idea how this new version screwed my sound up so bad that even a hard reset didnt' fix it.... and I don't care. I do love vtap overall, but yeah, this new version ain't working for me. For what it's worth, I'm on a Samsung i760.
