Re: SKTools vs MemMaid

I use memmaid. I've tried both, but if I remember right s-ktools was cripple-ware and you could only try the first 5 things in each list? memmaid had a full trial, I went with what I could try first.

Re: SKTools vs MemMaid

tried to drop a .dll file to change my evdo icon, then I just lost the icon completely, I tried few thing then went to Sktool, it has a feature to look for duplicate Rom file with dates, and let me chose to revert back to original, thought that was cool. so sktool, plus I like all the color scheme it lets you ctrl..

Re: SKTools vs MemMaid

I also use both. Personally, i feel memmaid has a cleaner feel to it, and seems more set up for the novice user. While sktools is geared toward the more advanced user with more options. Least that's how it apears to me. I love em both equally.

Re: SKTools vs MemMaid

I definitely use both. Like what they both do.
I find that SKTools frees up a lot more ram than MemMaid.

I totally agree with that. I also like the "shadow services" the newer sktools version has. Cool to have maintenience features running in the backround.

Re: SKTools vs MemMaid

you probably won't get anywhere with the poll because people usually choose one or the other and can't really speak for both (aside from darren, coz, and maybe some other select few). Both are popular, that's why you see the even poll.

I use sktoolz and like it a lot, but i'm thinking of trying memmaid just to see what's similar/same/easier.

Re: SKTools vs MemMaid

For the sole purpose of cleaning, (and freeing up memory and such) memmaid reigns superb from my own experience. However, if i had to take into account all the extra features and such offered by SKTools, like a Backup utility and a Registry editor, i would say SK is more versatile and useful throughout the course of the day.

Re: SKTools vs MemMaid

sktools can back up your system, so it's much more useful.

Memmaid has got a eye candy interface.... but doesn't comprise all features I need.
