Keep screen on while watching vids in Skyfire
This seems like a no-brainer but I can't figure it out. If I'm using TCPMP, the screen stays on the entire time. If I'm using WMP, the screen also stays on the entire time. However, if I watch Hulu using Skyfire, the screen shuts off after a few minutes.
I do have S2U2 installed but I added Skyfire.exe to the exception list. Can anyone else recommend another way to keep the screen alive while using Skyfire (other than changing the system settings)?

Re: Keep screen on while watching vids in Skyfire
I'm just saying that's one of the ways to keep skyfire on while playing vids, thats how I did it when I used skyfire.
How can you forget to turn off your phone? Don't you turn it off when you're done using the phone? I always turn mines off by habit. |

Re: Keep screen on while watching vids in Skyfire
I've gotten used to S2U2 turning my screen off for me so I rarely think about it. For instance, if I'm at work and I finish a call, I'll just set it down.
Surely there's a way to do this though. I'm gonna send an email to skyfire to request something on their end. |

Re: Keep screen on while watching vids in Skyfire
If you're using S2U2, and the screen is locked, it'll still turn off even with the screen set to stay on indefinitely using identity's suggestion. So if the screen is off, and a call comes in, you can take the call, and once you hang up, your screen will display the S2U2 "locked" screen, and will turn off after about 20-30 seconds. Same with viewing/replying to text messages.
At least, that's how it's working on my phone (which is a Sprint Touch). And I love never having to deal with the screen turning off when I'm using the phone. Their is a risk that I'll forget to turn it off and it'll drain the battery, but the few times that's happened, I've caught it within 5 minutes or so. |
