Resorting Contacts?

I wasn't sure where this question should go, and think it might require a third-party app so I placed it here...

Is there a way to change the sort options for the contacts list? I hate my contacts being listed last name, first name. I don't use most of my contacts last names and it is easier for me to find them when they are listed by first name. Any settings on the ppc for this, or does it require another program?
