anyone using Tweaks2k2NET for faster memory card access?

Does it make a difference?

I am noticing a delay when opening apps from my Kingston card; wondering if the tweak would improve things noticeably?

I personally don't use tweaks, I do them on my own. But if I'm not mistaken malatesta uses it, not sure about this feature tho...

Yeah, I use it. It increases the BlockTransferSize from 64 to 128 or 256.

hklm\\drivers\\sdcard\\clientdrivers\\mmc_class &
hklm\\drivers\\sdcard\\clientdrivers\\SDMemory_cla ss

Does it work? I didn't do any direct comparisons or measurements but it works fine and has no issues.

Sure.

eh, I'm a big believer in the placebo effect, so I'm reluctant to say that such changes make it noticably faster.

The logic is there though, so I don't see why it wouldn't and it definitely didn't make things worse, so there's nothing to loose...

Yeah bigD, you can do it yourself.

Under:

hklm\\drivers\\sdcard\\clientdrivers\\class\\mmc_c lass
hklm\\drivers\\sdcard\\clientdrivers\\class\\SDMem ory_class

BlockTransferSize = 256 (128 would work too)
