just loaded on my stock HTC Touch Pro. nope, doesn't play the whole song, though it does play for more than 30 seconds...hold on, timing it...looks like i got about 1min20 seconds per song.
-the screen stays on while playing a song, it does not turn off.
-when it switches to the next song, it will sit at the loading screen for a little bit, so the screen turns off due to no activity (a normal function). the song wont play until you turn the screen back on again. then it stays on while the song plays. rinse and repeat.
-there is no way to turn off the music. i exited the pandora app and the music just keeps on playing in the background. had to restart the phone.

is this all i can expect right now?
