Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
I'm wondering, having read through most of this tread...is there no way to turn off the screen on my Touch while Pandora plays ?
It tends to be a bit of battery hog. If worse comes to worse I'll just get another batter for long trips. Oh is there any way to turn up the volume when using the headphones ? Thanks

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Use an A2DP headset. This isn't Pandora's behavior so much as the OS behavior to stop audio when the screen goes off. It's been my experience with both my Jabra and Motorola A2DP units that if I'm playing audio via them the audio stream stays up when I switch off the screen (no matter the source).

I have the same problem, (but im not in the "boonies" i have a 3g connection) but I saw the later post that you need the factory rom, and it worked. I have a factory rom, and have not modded my phone (only thing close would be slide 2 unlock..) and It perpetually gives me the connecting screen.. people that do have a working pandora on their TILT, please help. oh btw i have WM 6, not 6.1.... PM me. Details: I get the "Debug Assertion Failed" error on startup, retry and ignore give me another (abort closes), and that ones retry and ignore close the errors, and it keeps loading, then when it tries to load a station it says connecting... forever... (I have given it my account info and stuff already) I have tried both with the proxy on and off, no change. I have a AT&T Tilt, with WM6, that has not been changed since I bought it 1 year 3 months ago. The closest thing to a mod I have is Slide 2 Unlock and Slide 2 Play. I just tried the older .cab (in the .zip file) and got the same problems... Last edited by kettles; 02-16-2009 at 01:40 PM. Reason: added details |

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
w00t, finally, I downloaded and installed the 1.1.10 version and it works with no errors, unlike the others. Ill test it out today and see how it performs.
Tested: Works great, Idling it only dims the screen, which doesn't bother me. Using the power button to turn the screen off works, and the music has continued to play fine. Lost connection for a sec once, and of course it switched songs, no big deal. All the buttons work fine, and the touchscreen works for everything. I had hear people complain of not being able to adjust volume, I had no problem, because the windows bar is always there with the volume icon on it (my headphones had a volume slider too). I am using a usb to headphone adapter and a fairly cheap pair of headphones that seem to work fine. Audio quality is lacking, but the fact that I have Pandora on my phone makes up for any shortfalls. Just don't listen to real heavy complex music and expect it to sound great. Sliding out the keyboard works fine, and the program displays landscape naturally, showing 3 songs instead of the 2 in portrait. Overall, very good. PHONE: stock AT&T Tilt (a little over a year old), WM6, running without the proxy on (haven't tried with) THANKS Mzfresh02 !! Last edited by kettles; 02-17-2009 at 12:13 PM. Reason: added tested |
