Im thinking about installing the Gyrator. Just wanted to get some thoughts from the members. Any major bugs, or issues to be aware of?

Haven't messed with it but I can give it a shot to see of anything I notice.

I wish the light saber app were a bit more sensitive, but other than that, great collection!

Don't quote me but last I checked with the guy who made it, he was going to come out with another version. Same with most of these apps checking the original post of them most have been provided feedback such as the magic 8 ball and have said they will make an updated version (when that is who knows). I will do my best to keep this thread up-to-date.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll check it out.

I can't help but think the zoom circle would be a better trigger for spin the bottle, or better yet a swipe gesture.

I tried the G-Alarm but could get it to work right with my g sensor. I couldn't move left and right. Only up and down for the maze. So I uninstalled it.

I don't use the maze, there is an option to turn this off.

Yes those apps you mentioned need NET CF 3.5... It's located on the first post and on the original list post by SURUR over at xda.

Here is the excerpt and link: Many apps need .Net CF, which can be downloaded in cab form here.

Maybe you soft reset? Seems to help for random issues.

Yes on some you need too. I know some of the authors are still working bugs/issues on some of these. So you might find some that still need to be worked. As I get a chance I will update the first post.

Possible, but the resolutions are pretty whack. You're not alone though

No. The TP is 640x480 while the iPhone is 480x320

Why in the world would you dread saying the word iphone? I don't get it?

I think alot of people are waiting for some games to be ported over...but so far it... nothing of real consequence.

Actually a few at XDA are trying to bring some across the border. I have not checked to see what the status of it was. It would be nice to have some of them I agree!

Are they direct ports? Or are they just developing similar apps?

Since the iPhone has come out, there are so many cool games available for it. I think it's only a matter of time we have just as many cool games for the G-Sensor phones.

On a side note, I'm wondering if there are any games that work as multiplayer with PPC and iPhone.

Cross platform? I highly doubt that, although it would be very VERY cool! But getting back-end servers to support both platforms would be rather difficult...

what would be great is if someone could write a program that can emulate an iphone, just to run the .ipa programs and games...... im sure these devices have the capabilities.

Here is a cool gyrator event that might make a good addition to the list. Speakerphone on face down (a la Touch Pro 2).

Using Gyrator:

- Add a new "Rotation" event.
- Set application to Phone on the "Application" tab.
- On the "Orientation" tab check on "Portrait", "Face-down", and "Face-up".
- On the "Actions" tab check on "Simulate Keypress".
- Goto "Advanced" tab and select key "F16,127" which triggers the windows-native "Speakerphone Toggle event".

Done.

Now, starting NOT on speakerphone, whenever you put your phone on a level surface --facing up or down-- during a call, the speakerphone will toggle ON -> Moreover, if you pick it up it should toggle OFF. Good enough?

Cheers

P.S. You can also do the same for a "Stylus Out" event to fire when "Phone" application is focused, thereby simultaneously toggling on the speakerphone and starting up a new Note (default behaviour) whenever you take the stylus out during a call. Aren't we the lazziest lot..

Great thinking shirreer!

Holy moly if I wanted to play these type of games I'll just bust out my old Sega Game Gear and have more fun. There has to be a way to put some descent games on this phone. I mean unless the phone just cant do it?

It will work just fine on the pro... I played with it a while ago, had a small lightsaber duel with my friend's iPhone. He won, his was bigger :(

Yup, 99% of apps that work on the Diamond will work on the Touch Pro and vice-versa. That's the beauty of Windows Mobile.

Not quite sure I get it... Is it really Windows Mobile or the fact that the diamond and TP are made by the same company at approximately the same time with approximately the same feature set. There are a few differences but the main one is that the TP has the slide out keyboard.

I don't really their compatibility is due simply because it is running Windows Mobile.
