The program the OP saw is Loopt. It's available for the iPhone, Blackberry and a lot of regular phones that use Java, but not for Windows Mobile. I'm not sure if you can install the versions for the regular phones onto WM using a Java program, but I haven't been able to get the jar/jad files to test it.
http://www.loopt.com/ If you watch the commercial closely, you'll notice that he finds his friend drinking a latte and replies to her to go to lunch. The only problem is that she was drinking a latte on 10/28 and when he replies, the date is 10/31.
