Manually delete emails?

First I apologize if there is a post somewhere about this, I did search. I am wondering why my phone deletes my emails automatically. I set up my gmail account on my phone (Touch Pro) but it only keeps the emails for like a day or to (not sure exactly how long) before it just removes them from my phone. Is there a setting that I am missing that will allow me to only delete the emails manually so I can keep the ones on my phone that I want?

Re: Manually delete emails?

if under the email setting, ask how long to get messages for and what to do with email. I believe if you go to the inbox go to option and account settings it should be in there.

Re: Manually delete emails?

I appreciate your response, but actually I am looking for a setting for how long to keep the emails in my inbox. Is this an isolated issue for me? Let me give an example...monday I received an email from Sprint concerning my phone upgrade, (there was some confusion with my order and I was sent two TP's and I need to send one back) anyway in that email the rep had given me her direct phone number and I wanted to call her to clear up the situation but my phone automatically deleted the email so I had to log on to my account using a web browser in order to retrieve the email. This same thing used to happen to me with my Mogul and it bothered me but I never found an answer so I am looking now. Hope this clears up what I am looking for and sorry so long.

Re: Manually delete emails?

I believe there is also a setting to delete from server but it sounds like you just need to adjust the setting like the previous poster mentioned. I have mine set for three days. go to your gmail account(on ppc), under menu in the tools folder select options. Select your gmail and then go to "send/receive schedule". from there adjust the download messages option to how long you wish it to be kept on your ppc. You then should be able to keep them for however long you want. hope this helps.
