Exclamation Re: BAF MSL Grabber, version 1

It's good to see I wasn't the only Treo 800w with a problem,
but has anyone with a
Treo 800w gotten this to work?

I tried reinstalling both the ms net & baf cabs in different orders,
reboots, battery pulls, turning off the radio,
& still getting an error msg,
clipped off by the gold lock icon:
een an error
your MSL.
Get n touch, etc reads fine.

Thanks kindly!

Re: BAF MSL Grabber, version 1

I have Sprint Samsung Intrepid. Was not altered in any way.

I installed the .net compact framework from the link provided in first page.

Then I installed the BAF MSL grabber.

Turned off my ph, turned on.

Ran the BAF, it gave me a msg saying an error has occured, please contact BAF for support.

Anybody have this working on the intrepid?

Update: BAF creator told me that it only works on HTC phones.

  3. Change the value of Enable to 1
  4. Change the value of LogMode to 1
  5. Wait 2-5 mins. (I usually wait like one minute, but whatever works)
  6. Soft reset
  7. Check to make sure the folder /Atlog has been created in the main memory
  8. Navigate back to the registry location indicated before (HKLM/Software/HTC/ATDbgLog)
  9. Change Enable to 0

  13. Navigate to the /Atlog folder in the main memory and openATDbg0.txt
  14. There will be a RETARDED amount of information in this text file. You are looking for "Rx:+HTC_RMSL:######\r\n0\r"
  15. Those pound signs are your MSL. Enjoy.

Hit thanks if i helped.
I know it's been a while since this thread was updated, but this regedit nor the BAF MSL Grabber worked on my Verizon TP2. Does anyone have it working on their TP2 device?

Re: BAF MSL Grabber, version 1

I'm having an issue with getting my MSL. I just activated my refurbished phone from Asurion and loaded it with WM6.5 (EnergyROM). I never had any issues with my old Touch Pro, which was purchased new.

I ran GetSPC, entered in my HEX ID and it gave me one MSL number. I ran BAF MSL Grabber and it gave me another MSL number. Neither of those work in EPST.

BTW, if any of you are having issues with BAF MSL Grabber not being able to obtain your MSL, you will have to put your phone in Airplane Mode before running it.

Anyone know what's going on?

It sure beats having to do manual hacking or trying to convince Sprint to give it to you over the phone. The MSL is the code you are required to enter to edit any of your radio parameters. One popular parameter change is to lower the slot-cycle index, which makes your phone poll the tower more often, thereby making your phone ring quicker when someone calls you. Radio/PST configuration edits can be found all over the web via Google.

Please note that to use this you must have .NET 3.5 instealled on your device.

To download, please visit BAF MSL Grabber | BAF.cc - you can either download the .cab and transfer it to your phone and install it, or scan the QR code with software such as i-Nigma. OEM is also over at the site. This is the first fully QR-Code ready app I have released, meaning that if you go to the About tab and click share, a QR code will pop up so others can scan+download directly off the screen of your device.

I hope this isn't going to put me in some kind of legal jeopardy. I don't see why it would, maybe I need a disclaimer someplace though.
You are the MAN. Worked perfectly on Sprint Touch Diamond with original sprint rom. I am a complete newbie and know nothing about all these terms and functions, I just want my cool phone to work on boost mobile... spent 16 hours trying different methods to get this unlock code and FINALLY. I thank you one million times. This program works perfectly with the version of .NET Baffles gave to download. Thanks again fellow new yorker!

Re: BAF MSL Grabber, version 1

Hello, I am triying to get this program working,

I tried almost everything... installing/uninstalling net cf 3.5 or 3.7, resetting, triying to make it fast, slow... disabling radio, enabling radio and letting the program disable it...

it always says error... (COM9 doesn´t exist)

and if I click on launch EPST if gives me this error:

Quote:
BAF MSL.exe
Win32Exception

en System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx (ProcessStartInfo startInfo)
en System.Diagnostics.Process.Start()
en System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(ProcessStartInfo startInfo)
en BAF_MSL.MainWindow.menuItem2_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
en System.Windows.Forms.MenuItem.OnClick(EventArgs e)
en System.Windows.Forms.Menu.ProcessMnuProc(Control ctlThis, WM wm, Int32 wParam, Int32 lParam)
en System.Windows.Forms.Form.WnProc(WM wm, Int32 wParam, Int32 lParam)
en System.Windows.Forms.Control._InternalWnProc(WM wm, Int32 wParam, Int32 lParam)
en Microsoft.AGL.Forms.EVL.EnterMainLoop(IntPtr hwnMain)
en System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run(Form fm)
en BAF_MSL.Program.Main()
I am using a treo pro gsm, vodaclon t850ueu

windows 6.5 with cmonex...

Can anyone help me get the msl please?
