NewsPanel/WeatherPanel making my phone freeze....A LOT!

The first program I had was NewsPanel, and I had it for a few days before I found out about WeatherPanel. It really didn't give me any problems at all. Then, I downloaded WeatherPanel... That worked well for about 4 days, but now my phone freezes as soon as you open ANY PROGRAM. Sometimes I can't even turn it back on, or it freezes right after doing a soft-reset. I actually had to do 9 soft-resets in a row last night! I took both programs off my today screen items list, and now nothing is going wrong.

I understand that I may have to just do without these programs, but before I jump to uninstalling them; anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem?

For future reference:
1.) I have tried installing after a Hard Reset
2.) No Animation on either plug-in running

Programs:
Total Commander
iLauncher
TCPMP
Jimm98y's Dialer
KeePassPPC
ClearTemp
Live Search
UI Tweaker
DopeWars
LVM Second Clock
NewsPanel
WeatherPanel

Are you installing it to SD card? or Main memory?

A good rule of thumb is that anything that goes on your today screen needs to be installed in your main memory. I have both WP and NP running (installed on main memory) and I've never had any problems.

late,
Coz

it's definitely a good rule of thumb, but for whatever reason not the case with me, don't know why... I have WeatherPanel installed, along with Pocket Informant Today plugin, and and both are running off the SD card, and the load times for the today screen are the same if WP is a SD card or Main Memory installation. I don't even have a performance hit. Maybe you're getting a conflict with iLauncher? just an idea

I have WP & NP installed on the storage card. I just got back from Sprint; they said it was just my phone...period. I didn't argue since the Manager told me he'd upgrade me to the 6800 when it comes out. I'll just have to deal with this phone until it comes out.
