Yes, absolutely. If you make a change while the plugin is still active it won't pick up those changes until you deactivate and reactivate.

Ok, I think I understand why now from looking elsewhere...based on the language "the internet" might be something else.. I read on another forum that in German, it needs to be Connect("Internet") rather than Connect("The Internet")..hopefully that's the same for ROW but I don't know, and now also need to determine how to determine the language being used

sstay tuned...

Actually, there is a different way to check for an internet connection which might make this simpler (but not sure if it's any more reliable unfortunately)..I'll post a quick update and see if it makes any difference to you (won't be a full cab install, just the script itself that needs to copy over the existing cSports.mscr file.. If it seems to work better, I'll do an update and change the items in the main app and the today piece....

Good luck Scotty with fixing that error. It would be so nice to not see it any more, but something I can easily live with too.

Checking for the connection actually isn't the problem (unless it's a false positive in which case this other method might be more reliable).. I still do need to call Connect("something") to establish a connection if there isn't one, so I guess I will need to figure out the language thing...

If you have a registry editor, can you look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Destinations .. tell me if you see "Internet" in there as opposed to "The Internet" as one of the reg keys.. I believe this is where it is determined what we should connect to, and if so, I can update the app to find this key and use its name, rather than hardcoding in the name.

Thanks!

Mine has "The Internet" under HKLM\Comm\...\Destinations ... I ended up deleting the shortcut that apparently was triggered at startup after each soft reset, and now I don't get that message referenced above. And the scoreboard as a plugin is working fine.

strike that - just went ahead and deactivated and reactivated and it's cycling.
