Re: Keyboards
Hey all,
I have been trying out TekSoft and Touchpal - however, 1 minute with Gullum's creation, and I AM SOLD! It's by far the most intuitive and speedy input I have used. However, I have noticed that 'regular' word prediction no longer shows up - is that one side effect of this apps? Excited, Matt! Last edited by KillerQ; 11-17-2008 at 05:31 PM. |

Re: Keyboards
John,
Have you noticed that the 'stock' text prediction is disabled when using the physical QWERTY keyboard after installing Gullums? I wish it was still there, but Gullums app is too nice to get rid of! Thanks, Matt! |

Re: Keyboards
Gotta get my vote in for TouchPal. I know there is a split decision on it with thos that love it and those that hate it, but it was the first thing I installed on my Touch.

Re: Keyboards
Hey all,
For those of us who installed (and possibly uninstalled) Gullum's Keyboard, and miss the stock auto-complete feature that was, in turn, disabled - here are a few simple, quick steps that just worked 100% for me: Be sure that HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\XT9SupportMSSip has a value of 0 - if not, change it. Change these two registry keys under: HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\layouts\e 0010409
Later, Matt! Last edited by KillerQ; 11-27-2008 at 11:17 PM. |

Re: Keyboards
Not sure how many people know about it (cause I seemed to have missed it after a year of surfing these forums), but here's how you can undock any softkeyboard: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=49601
Definitely makes it easier to enter info on certain sites now that I can simply move the keyboard out of the way or where I want on the screen! It snaps into default position when you close/reopen.

Re: Keyboards
Do any of these keyboards have a TAB key?
I miss being able to just touch that button and go to the next text entry box. Also, how do they compare in moving around the window to show the text entry box? Some of the SIP's will scroll down automatically, some give you a scrollbar and you have to do it manually and some just cover up the areas and you have to open and close the SIP to see if you've typed correctly.

Re: Keyboards
Ok so I installed Gallum's Diamond Keys and don't really like it. It took away the predictive text and also the keys don't always show up on the screen when I pull up the softboard. The problem now is...I can't delete it. I've tried several times and it just won't go away. Does anyone know the trick to getting it off?
