Anybody still using this?

I login every now and then, but not many people answer... there also seems to be a long time from the last update so I don't know what's going on.

I log in a few times a week (my wife and I use it). However, the novelty of it has worn off a bit.

New Palringo Update 0612/07

EDIT: New CAB uploaded to FIRST post.

Just received an e-mail from the Palringo team...

Quote:

The latest version of the PC and Windows Mobile Palringo application is now being rolled out! If you have not received the update already, you should receive an automatic update the next time you sign into Palringo.

This version adds some frequently requested functionality, offers many important enhancements to previously existing functionality, and addresses issues with the previous build which had been found by ourselves or reported by our users.

In addition to the changes in the Windows application - summarised below - during this time period we have seen significant developments on the server backend, enhancements to the Symbian application, updates to our registration process which make it easier to sign up and create a new user account, and have streamlined our support process. Congratulations to everyone for making this happen!

The main changes since the last publicly released update (10-May-2007) are summarised below.

-

Updated message history system
==============================
Rather than navigating through the menu to retrieve message history, you can now just scroll upwards and older messages will be downloaded automatically!

New power saving functionality
==============================
Palringo users will no longer notice a drain on their Pocket PC batteries, thanks to a novel combination of power saving techniques present in the latest version.

User interface enhancements
===========================
We've made many tweaks to the user interface, such as adding collapsible overview screen sections, updated icons, an about window, mouse wheel support, keyboard/mouse shortcuts, additional context menus, and Pocket PC chat window titles.

Improved automatic updates
==========================
Future automatic updates will be downloaded using a new and improved patch system which features lower data usage and a refined user interface.

Better, faster, more reliable
=============================
We've added a multitude of tweaks and fixes to ensure that the application feels snappier, more robust, and uses less memory. We've also fixed many issues ranging from commonly-reported bugs, to obscure issues running Palringo under WINE/Linux.

We all hope you enjoy our new features and improved functionality!! As always, we would love to have your feedback both positive and negative to help us improve future releases. You can either visit our website www.palringo.com, or drop us a mail at support@palringo.com

A big thank you to our development team who have been working so very hard to make this release possible, and a even bigger thank you to all of you for all your feedback and input in helping us make all these new features possible.

Don't forget our Symbian beta version is now available for download via our website!!

Kind regards,

Your Palringo Team
