issues with mail front door on wm6

I don't think my concern is phone specific, so that is why I posted here.

Apache phone with wm6.1. I am additionally running Arcsoft MMS 5.0.7.x. It is obviously a cooked rom with nothing unique accept the upgraded OS and the Arcsoft was installed as a cab.

I have noted after two different re-burns the same issue. After setting up two IMAP acounts getting all the config setup...I cannot re-enter the config area to change items such as file download time, check time, ect. When I am at the entrance to mail that shows the screen (two imaps, sms/mms, new account) I can enter just fine. When I go to "options" and and account has an "*" next to it I cannot get in.

1. Anyone seen this concern and know a fix?
2. What are the registery key areas for these config items. I didn't see anything under HKLM/software/microsoft/outlook or such.

Are you connected to your computer when try this? I can get to my Gmail settings when I'm connected, but have to disconnect to get to my Outlook/Exchange settings.

I"ve tried every conceivable permutation. Both boxes in qestion are IMAPs. i would test a POP3 account but cannot create a new one either. I believe the Arcsoft MMS has something to do with it is my guess. I never had this issue with the ROM 3.x version but in my latest build I kept the Arcsoft off as I could get the latest 5.x to work as a CAB.
