How do I UnInstall/Delete a font?

I downloaded a font from some free site, and copied the file to my device in the 'Fonts' folder. Now, when I try to delete it, it says it's in use. Problem is, Word is shut down from the setting menu, and it is not being used as the default font. I've tried using Total Commander, but it just keeps saying it's in use. Any ideas??
