Re: Google Maps NEW BUILD

just used it to drive from warner robins, georgia to virginia beach and it was pin point perfect and if you took a wrong turn with the gps on the titan it was easy and quick to adjust. I don't know if you guys ever noticed but if you are driving with it on and the gps working it will point in what direction you are driving to let you know if you are off course. I hope they make it with speach instruction with the next upgrade.

Re: Google Maps NEW BUILD

So, I put the Transit directions of Google maps to the test today. It was spot on, told me what time the train would be there and gave me the options of sooner or later times and calculated a rough walk time. The reverse directions were of a big help because I did not know were the train picks up to go back the way I came. I did notice that it took longer to get a sat link in the city, but that could have been caused by the buildings.

Re: Google Maps NEW BUILD

I still get the same message that my handset (Sprint Touch with official new rom and 6.1) is not compatible with the My Location beta feature. I mean I can use the GPS, but this My Location stuff still comes up with that message, is that normal or what?

Ya I get this to dont worry about it.
With version 2.0.1.31 if you hit menu and "My Location" you will get that error. But if you click "Use GPS" first and get a connection you can click "My location" and it will work but will be no different than clicking "Use GPS".

"Use GPS" finds your location.

Re: Google Maps NEW BUILD

Thanks man...I just figured that out myself just after posting it. Does your phone also have issues with it having a hard time to find the GPS if you haven't used it in a while? Usually I have to let Sprint Navigation run it's course, then it will tell me that the GPS signal is weak, then I do a soft reset, and the GPS works right away. Cumbersome to say the least!
