Re: ActvieSync

What version of ActiveSync are you running? Have you ever been able to sync? Check the USBSwitch settings. Get something MemMaid or SKTools and check for a repllog.exe error.

late,
Coz

Re: ActvieSync

About the active sync when you plug it in to your computer does it recognize it as a htc device or mobile device, that said try unchecking "enable advanced network functionality" its been known to cause havoc with a ton of devices, and then connect to active sync. Also you might want to try plugging it in a different usb port on the computer, most have two or more.

My phone always connected just fine & then after installing a BT home plug-in it decided not to connect anymore. Unchecking that box fixed it immediately.

Re: ActiveSync AGAIN!!!!!

Reboot your phone, delete any activestink profiles from your pc's activestink, reboot your pc, hook 'em up and try again.

Also, you can select what to sync, start real small, and add as you go, start with whatever you have the least of(notes/calendar/contacts), and add once each sync is complete.

Last you can run the inbox repair tool from your pc (phone not connected) _nd try again...

Re: ActvieSync

ActiveSync can be infuriating. One time, my Verizon XV6800 had been connecting just fine for weeks but then some program I installed froze my phone so bad I had to do a hard reset.

That is not usually a problem as I use SPB Backup religiously so I figured no big deal I will simply restore the system. When I got done, everything seemed to work perfectly at first but then I realized AS was not working.

At that point, I tried everything under the sun to fix it & absolutely NOTHING worked..... I'm thinking WTF, it worked fine when I made the BU.......

At that point, not knowing what else to do I did a 2nd hard reset & then restored the same BU again. When I got done the 2nd time AS worked fine again..............

Re: ActvieSync

At the risk of being Capt. Obvious, I'll ask if you're running XP or Vista on your PC. If you have a Vista based machine, you'll need to be connecting via WMDC, which seems to come complete with it's own set of headaches. As for AS, I can't say what might help, as my experience has been w/WMDC
