To add a little more to this statement, I was just playing with the program briefly again with the card removed. In the "my media" directory there is a "pictures" folder. When I open that, the program has cataloged & is displaying every single windows icon/all the HTC Home weather icons/all the individual tiles of the HTC Home digital clock I'm using etc etc etc......
There definitely needs to be a way to tell Kinoma what (if any) directories you want it to scan & have it either not scan at all or just go to the directories where your pics/movies etc are stored.
I figured maybe for now I could remove the card, open the program & then after it is open & running smoothly reinstall the card as it has some programming on it I need for regular every day use of the system. Unfortunately, even that doesn't work because as soon as I reinstall the card the scanning feature detects it & immediately starts scanning it causing the system to freeze up needing a soft reset shortly after that...........
