When the movie opened with Kinoma, I saw right away why it excluded them from the KP directory. The movie is virtually unwatchable in Kinoma (it is a jerky pixelly looking mess) although it gives virtually perfect playback in WMP......

Interesting. Yea KP has never been very good at video imo, and I suppose I excluded that since I a)sling more than anything for video, b) have coreplayer for other video formats and wmp, but I know where you are coming from now. I wonder if the kinoma that ships with that 1ghz toshiba is hardware accelerated

Re: Kinoma media player

Since Toshiba worked with Kinoma to make it the standard media player, much like opera with HTC, i bet it is hardware supported.. Like how Opera use the g-sensor for auto rotation

Re: Kinoma media player

This app is awesome for listening to podcasts.. I've been using it for the past ~6 months, and the facebook app that they just added to it is great.

My only gripe is that it doesn't support Bluetooth remote control (so I don't use it for music..) - it's my player for video and podcasts though..

I think it rocks that they gave the update for free.. I saw the email and had my credit card out before I noticed that

Didn't work for me (on touch pro). Where did you read that it's supposed to support it? I didn't see that in their list of features.

Re: Kinoma media player

Apparantly there's a fast way to go back to the home screen -

"Press and Hold the select key to return to the Home Screen from anywhere (not a gesture but really useful)"

I don't know, i guess on their forums where I saw your post. Oh and thanks for that tip. Thats good to know. I still have one rant and that is that Kinoma has not fixed their issue with podcasts/bookmarks and exiting the program. If you force an exit through the OS you lose your place in a podcast. That is stupid, tons of people have complained and its not fixed in their latest version. Plus LastFM isnt working on my TP. I am beginning to become disenfranchised somewhat with Kinoma

Re: Kinoma media player

I looked at the "trialplay" deals and didnt see anything that would cost me $0.... No blockbuster or netflix deals anymore either.
