Will resco Explorer allow you to edit files? Like skin files.

If it does, how do you do it.

TIA

It won't, it's a file explorer, not editor.

I gotta say, 6.15 fixed an issue I had regarding loading things from my Storage card: before it timed out and was slower, but now it's much faster.

I always recommend this app and 6.15 is a definitely a nice update.

So how does Resco explorer compare to Total Commander. I believe TC allows you to edit.

What do you mean by edit skin files? It will let you open them, but it will ask you what app you want to open the skin file with.

What I mean is program will allow you to open and edit the file and then save it. Total Commander does this.

I'm trying Resco Explorer and you're right it does ask what program you want to use. I tried using word and it didn't work. Not sure what other programs will allow you to edit files.

Pocket Notepad is free and edits just about everything.

You can also edit .skn files with the built in Word Pad. I use it all the time, no biggy.

Malatesta,

Thanks for the info and link on pnotepad. I'll give it a try.

I can't find word pad on my device. I'm using a 8525. Any idea where I should look?

Does your device have Office Mobile? I think Malatesta meant Mobile Word.

My device does have office mobile. However mobile word won't open the skin file. Not sure why it won't.
