Those Honda engines he was talking about... They can go from 6 to 4 to even 3 cylinders...

Next time you are with your blue tooth adapter, can you look at who makes it? I really want to get one of these... I used to work as a mechanic and being able to do this would make it so much easier than having to use the OBD II scanner... What software are you using again? I assume it is not freeware?

The OBDII Bluetooth Adapter is a generic ELM327 scanner from ebay, and I am using freeware, I'm using OBDGauge. Here is the link to the OBDII adapter:

I tried ScanTool from http://www.autoenginuity.com/ but it didnt work. On the treo 800w it ran, but failed at connecting. On the DIamond it doesnt even run. install it, and when i click on it i get the rainbow-colored circle spinning and it keeps doing that forever.

Cool... I really appreciate that.. What all can you get from this set up? RPM? I mean is it really in-depth or just basic stuff?

You're welcome! You get RPM's, engine load, absolute throttle position, coolant temperature, air temperature, ummm let see what else, speed, intake air pressure and i thing thats about it. It has an engine diagnostic section that gives you engine codes if your check engine light is on. Very nifty software, but I REALLY woild like an instantanuous MPG calculator.

I have the HTC Diamond. OBDgauge worked with my Treo also, but it was very buggy at time, like losing connection and the only way to reestablish it is to reset both devices. It works perfectly fin on the Diamond though.

That's what I wanted to hear... I have a Touch Pro... So if it works on the Diamond, it should work on the TP..
