Many people have asked for someting likes this tweak. Of course it's free.

Install it and you'll notice in your pOutlook (Menu) you now have two new options for email:
  • Mark All as Read
  • Delete All

Very nice. :D No stylus needed, all one handed.

Wideawake 06-20-2006 09:46 AM

Name of recipient in SMS delivery receipt on WM5

2 Attachment(s)
Yeah, most people ask how to disable all the notifcations in WM5 (Message Sent or SMS delivery receipt) so this is NOT for you!

For those of us who do like the SMS delivery receipt but don't like how it works on WM5, try this free app:

Name of recipient in SMS delivery receipt on WM5
Only 47kb in size and does what it says: replaces the number with the Contact's name as well as some other perks.

Get it HERE plus more screen shots/info (it's XDA forums again, so you'll need to register to download it).

I've attached the latest version (2.0) but you may want to watch that thread for updates.

Questions, Are you running this on your phone? How long?

Malatesta 06-20-2006 09:17 PM

2 weeks?

I only run the quick launcher/task manager part of it though.

Memory readers are bad on the today screen (and useless) imo.

Easy as pie: just go to Settings--> Sounds & Notifications -->Notifications -->Messaging: SMS Delivery Receipt

Select: Display message on Screen

Uncheck: Flash light for x; Vibrate; Play Sound

One-Handed Dialer/Today Screen

Here is one many people want: a way to dial one-handed (new numbers) from the Today screen...so simple and elegant. Plus free!

Edit: Noticed that there currently is no Delete key in case you dial the wrong digit. I pm'd Blade to see if he can address that issue. Otherwise, it's a lil' bit slow but a great start, imo.

Blade's Hacks Page

Just look for "One-handed Dialer" to the right list, near the bottom.

The program ooks like this:

Wideawake 06-22-2006 01:14 AM

the buttons still look alittle small from the screenshot. but Im looking into visual studio, so I can write my own programs and share with yall! Thinking of going to the local community college for computer programming classes. Hopefully soon, cuz I would love to develop some sweet programs that I feel really need to be made.
~mike

Malatesta 06-22-2006 01:30 AM

Well, the more progammers the better!

You know about the WIndows Mobile Starter Kit that was just released, right?

I think the buttons are a good size but sure, it could look prettier and have bigger numbers

Hell, for 1.01 release, I think it's a great start and many, many people complain about the lack of one-handed dialing (new numbers) so hopefully this will win them over.

Wideawake 06-22-2006 01:34 AM

ur right, but i dont have to much trouble out of dialing one handed. of course i am all about the looks, it has to look "pretty" hehe, thats kind of plain jane. but I mean to each his own. hopefully I can get in, as I would love create some hella tight programs, with great colors and ease of use. I got my fingers crossed, and hope to get started soon, as I need to move into a more stable career field.

Ok I like it this is the best Quick launch program that I have tried. You are right Memory readers are useless and I have been using this for several days and I haven?t had any problems. Even my alarms are working.

Big D5 06-25-2006 08:04 AM

Spoke to soon

I changed my alarm time 2 nights ago, and now my alarm is going off at the old time and the new time. I didn?t change from 1 of the 3 alarms to another I just changed the time in the first alarm box. I changed it from 5:30 am to 6 am and now the alarm goes off at both times. Any ideas what is causing this or how to fix it?

Wideawake 06-25-2006 12:26 PM

wow now that ya say something about alarms. I never installed phone alarm, but have had phantom alarms that just go off. For about a week mine would go off at 9:30 at night, with no alarm set. That stopped, a few days later it would go off at 10am. This happened for awhile, then stopped. I haven't had the problem since.

Read the first post of this thread (found below), especially the part about duplicate entries and DL that program for double notifications and see if that helps (the feature is also available in SKTools and MemMaid...)

Also, just read that thread for alarm stuff in general as for some reason you seem to have tons of problems with them! :D

What about microsoft voice command? is it much better than the one that came with the rom? PIE plus 2.0 any good?

Wideawake 07-09-2006 08:39 PM

I personally love both of them, and have both installed. with voice command, theres no training, it allows opening programs by saying start inbox etc., and annouces the callers name when u get a call. as far as pie plus. I like the ability to pen more than one pie page, drag screen to scroll and a lot more.
~mike

thrilsekr 07-09-2006 08:47 PM

Where can I get voice command?

Mrbonner 07-09-2006 09:07 PM

Mem card not coming in till next week. Do they both run off the memory card? or do you suggest install voice command on the phone itself. Also since it says the name of the person ho calls, what happens to the ringtone? Does it override it?

Big D5 07-09-2006 09:20 PM

voice command

1) do you suggest install voice command on the phone itself
Yes this program needs to go in the main memory
2) what happens to the ringtone
The voice command plays over the ring tone. I always turned this option off, its not very loud and a little slow, sometimes I would miss calls imo because the lag time while the program forms the word.

Hope this helps

Wideawake 07-09-2006 09:28 PM

voice command can be purchased online, and I think most best buys and such have it. as far as the ringtone, it overrides it for a a sec, then ringtone, then annouces name again, and so on. I think it matters where u install pie plus, but voice command has to be in the main memory I do believe. but I have both installed to main memory anyway. theres a hack to make the annoucement of the name louder, without it it is a low volume.
~mike

Mrbonner 07-09-2006 10:24 PM

Thanks that helps alot. After installing voice command im down to 11 mb o the internal memory. Is there anyway to get tid of some of he programs that came on the phone..like audible player or get good?

Wideawake 07-09-2006 10:41 PM

yea takes a hard reset and a decent amount of work. I haven't done it myself as I don't see it necessary. what do u have installed? I have 22mb of main memory and 14mb of storage, and I have a lot of programs installed.
~mike

Mrbonner 07-10-2006 12:01 AM

The only thing I put on the phone since I got it was Agile, Sling player, about 8 ringtones totalling about 1.5mb, two themes and now ms voice command. I was trying to figure out why my storage mem is so low cause i didnt really put anything on there like that.

Wideawake 07-10-2006 12:05 AM

do u clear ur temp files? those shouldnt be taken up that much memory. do u use a memory cleaner program like memmaid or sktools? if not u may wanna give them a try and see what results u get.

Mrbonner 07-10-2006 12:11 AM

ill just pm you cause were gettin off the initial topic lol

enroy 07-10-2006 09:04 PM

Forgive me early if I am blind to this.

But, I have read many of your inputs on which programs to use. Is there a way that you can make them available in post and links to the files so I don't have to browse the various posts to find the progz? I am a lazy guy and I access this forum lots through the phone. Listing under one post as a sticky here would be great. But again, if I am missing it, point me in the right direction.

Wideawake 07-10-2006 09:11 PM

some of the programs I speak of aren't freeware of shareware, so I can't post them. but if ya take alook at the downloads section, available at the top, you will find almost all of the freeware that I have referred too. hope this helps.
~mike

SMix 07-29-2006 02:35 PM

I just wanted to know if anyone happened to have serials, keys, etc for any of these pay programs many of you are using, or if you have all purchased them? Some of them I just don't believe are worth their price, but are indeed useful programs. Thanks!

Wideawake 07-29-2006 02:47 PM

yea most are paid, but some are freeware. ;)

bunnytrigger 07-29-2006 02:53 PM

btw, never request serials to be given to you thru the forums, please make sure you always PM (Private message) the person that posted the thread, or an Moderator. We are all about sharing in here and have no problem with sending the info to any of you :D

If there is ever anything needed by anyone on this forums, most likely any Moderator will help you with it if you PM them. I just want to avoid the legal things in case anybody ever postes a serial as a way of text on here. With that clear and out of the way, shot me a pm and tell me what I can help you with  :D

And my apologies to MrBonner for postin this on his thread. *bows*

I relay liked this program on my 6700 but on my 700wx the running programs drop down menu doesn't work. I like to use this to close all programs. On the 700wx you can only do this with the stylist, the D pad function doesn't work. Who is the maker of this program, can I ask them to fix this for me Mala, or better yet could you ask them for me. They probably all ready know you right? Thanks for any help 8)

I haven't tried this on the 700wx yet but I might just to confirm what you're experiencing.
