Re: GPSToday UPDATE 11/04/08
Sort of a dumb question, but does this application use Data? I don't have a data plan but would really like to get something that would work with the GPS, but not charge me for a connection. I read through the thread and didn't see anything about it- maybe I'm just the only guy on the planet without data :\
Anyone have any suggestions if this one uses data? |

Re: GPSToday UPDATE 11/04/08
I want to like this program. I really do. It just doesn't reliably work.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Stand alone version. Mogul WM6.1 stock. Set to any periodic mode you like from auto to 1 hour. Logging enabled. Running S2U2 with a 15 second timeout on wakeup. Behavior: Logs for a few times. Continues to wake up phone randomly (not following actual selected wakeup schedule) but stops logging after a few entries. Works after soft reset for a few times as before. Did you guys remember to put it in the "don't go to sleep until I'm done getting the fix" power state?

I would definitely not use S2U2 at the same time, since it will force the device to sleep, even if it's attempting to get a lock. For me, I just leave it in manual mode, and it only automatically get a lock when I take a picture. I know this will happen each time, so I make sure to leave my phone on for a bit after I snap a picture. |

Re: GPSToday UPDATE 11/04/08
Meh. Ok so it's useless (still) since the programmers (still) have not had it go into the proper power mode when it wakes up to get a fix. That's what I was seeing the last time I reported that bug to them.
